    We had a potluck at work, where everyone knows my ... unusual eating patterns ( good phrase) and most bring appropriate things. One guy came in and said "I brought something with no gluten" and dropped a bag of pita chips on the table. And he was a doc......from Ireland...

    Soups, stews, burritos stuffed peppers cooked meats in small packets to add to any meal spiced fish,chicken, whatever in foil to throw on the grill or in the oven to cook

    So I decide I want some ice cream, and I want some without corn syrup so I head for Ben and Jerry's. I pick up some excessive fudge concoction and start reading. Yes, it's gluten, soy and corn free, but it does contain.....butter. butter I still can't get over it.

    I just want to casually throw in, in defense of scientists, I've been one for almost 25 years and not once during that time have I, or anyone in the labs I am in, or work with, have come anywhere close to doing anything funded by pharma. It's all been government funded.

    WIH??? Where are the passports????? I have a bag half packed at all times. Could be ready to go anywhere in the world in 30 minutes. Just in case something like that should ever happen....

    Twice baked potatoes. Bake 'em, stuff 'em with something, then put 'em in the freezer. Bake again when you want taters.

    I think that gluten in an IV absolutely would cause a huge reaction. You have immune response cells everywhere. However, I don't think they would ever put gluten in an IV. It doesn't belong in your blood...

    And, as someone just asked, how do you know your organic produce isn't also coated with something?

    Another analogy people use is raw chicken. Would you pull a piece of raw chicken off your hamburger patty, then eat it anyway?

    I don't refrigerate it because I make small batches. I've tried mixing in water-based stuff, and you can do it, but you have to whip the melted coconut oil and water together on ice to get it to mix together. Time consuming....
