  1. You might get a little taller, it just depends on here you are in your own personal growth schedule. If have some "growth spurts" left, it could happen.
  2. sorry, still my fault. My post is still in the window below the reply window. I tried to edit it, but it wouldn't let me.
  3. I'm not going to belabor the point. I'm certain sickchick is intelligent enough to do her own research and make her own decisions. If she (or anyone) has specific questions I'd be happy to address them.
  4. fine short whiny pout to hasten the turnover
  5. OK. Soft squishy Jess gone. Raving hand-waving hair-pulling screaming Jess here. AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH Those ignorant annoying self righteous 'you shouldn't do this because I think it's wrong' anti-medicine anti-pharmaceutical blathering idiots who dose themselves with hundreds of dollars worth of untested unproven ground up plants because some minimally...
  6. OK, climbing up on my high horse here. Having a mild viral infection is not the flu. If you have the flu, your lungs shut down, you can't breathe, living is questionable. Been there, done that. If you have ever had the true flu, you completely understand what I'm saying. And yes, you rarely die from the flu, you die from the complicating pneumonia...
  7.   I just think that amazing people sometimes forget that they are amazing, and need reminding. If you read my other posts you'll discover that I think that 90% of the population can just sniffle themselves into a gluten filled pool of misery for all I care - but some people (highly over-represented on this thread) are far too...
  8. As you see, there are pros and cons. Weigh your own personal risks and benefits and make the decision for yourself.
  9. I'm pretty sure that peanuts and cashews aren't nuts.
  10. I saw him on the news too, so I thought I'd give him a little more face time. I think I heard that they've found his owner though...
  11. I get one every year
  12. Way t'kick butt, Babe!!!
  13. I understand that Soozle needs a job. I'm sure she could learn Canadian without too much trouble, and she'd be that much closer to Em's bro...
  14. That's what strength is, cutie-pie. Being fully aware of how bad your life sucks at the moment, and still being willing to deal with it. Not all at once, of course, that's just not possible, but one by one you pull out the horrible strands, examine them, understand them and realize that these new, ugly flaws woven into your life are actually what make you...
  15. Those things need to be fed?? Can't you just park 'em in front of the tv with a bowl of popcorn?
  16. I'm down 1/2 pound since last week (this has become my norm). Brekky: 1/4 quiche ~ equal to 3 eggs, 1/3 c mustard greens, 1/2 c chopped ham, 2 oz feta. no snack L: humungoid salad with some slices of lunch meat and handful 'tater chips. probably no snack again, both B and L were huge D:possibly two bell peppers with 1 oz feta, since...
  17. STAFFY!! Burn like a flame thrower  I was trying to guess what the word of the day would be. I had already dismissed 'circumcised' as too ordinary...
  18.   What a visual
  19. All of those are a bit thickening. Not sure how much the salt will affect the flavor. I'd start with unsalted butter and taste it
  20. I would think that you need either potato starch or corn starch to be certain of the thickening capabilities, but either of those alone would be excessive. I think I'd go for the flour mix, assuming it has either of those, and some rice flour in it.
  21. Are you mean for making them eat vegetables? Are you mean for giving them a functioning mom? It seems to me, if you're the one cooking, you have final say about what goes on in the kitchen.
  22. I thought the dead horse stuff was fine until you actually crossed the poor thing out... I'm pretty sure we're all in need of a round of GlutenEase just to deal with all the hay and other agricultural detritus still stuck to its fur (and 'excrement') that has been flung around that post.
  23. Me too. Even in normal situations. I was taking iron three times a day and all it did was make the event, uh, slightly gooier...
  24. yeaaaa.....I guess I'm not totally convinced that 'gluten intolerance' isn't also an autoimmune response. We just don't have sufficient tests available to be able to say that one way or the other.
