  1. I'm new here and just beginning this myself. I wonder if the kitchen and utensils are clean?? Using a contaminated toaster? Teflon pan with scratches on it? [could be contaminated with gluten from past use] Check her meds, supplements. I'm in the process of calling many manufacturers about my supps.
  2. Thanks for the tips on Vegas, Bronco! I will be going again next Spring. I went to Vegas in May but didn't know I was gluten intolerant. I ate at alot of buffets. Can't remember the names of them right now. Great food, but I'm sure I had plenty of gluten there! [wasn't feeling so hot and had D several times]
  3. I think mine were that way. Not sure what you're describing. Mine sort of "fell apart" in the toilet sometimes. Very strange looking.
  4. It's very important to take care of parasites. I've heard figures that state 90% of us have them!! YOu would be wise to order some of that dr natura stuff. It's very good and I just called yesterday to make sure it's gluten free....They said YES! I've seen interesting things in my stool. And yes, you can have D and C in the same movement. Happens...
  5. Lay's "original" are OK. Don't know about the others.
  6. Thanks so much. I guess I'll go ahead and call the company. Mine is Nature's Way, I think.
  7. I heard there was controversy over millet. I just found that my 'milk thistle' contains millet. Is it safe?

    ARCHIVED Vitamin B12

You might also check into candida. I get tingling and burning in my face and lips when I've eaten something with sugar in it.
  9. It's either the flavorings or the maltodextrin.
  10. Can you buy them online?
  11. Oh bummer! I was afraid of that! Do you mean the Rolaids chews that contain something for gas as well?? Is that the ones you mean?
  12. Sorry, I don't know....up for help!
  13. Thanks! Bread, real bread?? The EnerG granola bars are wonderful, but a little too much sugar for me.
  14. Well, I asked one day and no one knew for sure. They do not contain wheat as far as I can tell. That's one reason I chose them. I had a known "allergy" to wheat. [THOUGHT it was an allergy...but it's really celiac] They contain soy though and that's probably not any better!
  15. Thank you!! I just found the Herb Ox bouillon this week and was praying it was truly gluten free since I had to do a liquid diet for two days. It tasted OK! It's low in sodium or either sodium free so I added my own salt.
  16. Avoid dairy for SURE if you have sinus problems. I think it's also a bad year for allergies. Has been here.
  17. Yes, I have Lyme too. Ugh. I'm mostly over it, but it will always be there, causing trouble when I least expect it. I'm glad you liked the info on yeast. I've dealt with it alot. As for flagyl. Not my favorite. Took months and months of it for Lyme. It works on "cysts" which the Lyme bacteria create. Hard to explain and i'm sure you'd rather not...
  18. I hear ya, Lisa! I"ve struggled for years with my health. I also have Lyme disease which is so misunderstood by the public. People have no clue how bad it is. Now I found out I'm celiac too and I've had it a LONG time, I'm sure. I haven't cried yet, but I'm pretty down today as well. Crying is good for the soul and for your emotional well-being. Go for...
  19. I hear ya loud and clear. I'm not feeling so hot myself. I would continue taking probiotics, but make sure they are gluten free. I've had trouble with Primal Defense, and I don't think they are gluten-free AT ALL. Check into PB8 and Theralac. Check them to make sure they are OK. I just got dxd, so I haven't checked those yet. PB8 can be found at...
  20. I think there IS a way to deduct it other than the above mentioned methods. Let me listen to a celiac disease I have....again. Don't remember enough to tell you now. What's FSA?
  21. Well, I called Atkins and found out that NONE of their products are gluten-free! UGH! Since I have systemic yeast, I have relied on Atkins bars to snack on and to take meds with at night. Now they are totally eliminated. another challenge.........getting depressed and I've only begun my search!
  22. Lyme disease can present with primarily gastro intestinal pain and diarrhea. It wouldn't be that common to have ONLY that symptom, however.
  23. Thanks, Ursula and Patti. Now I understand a little better. Now the challenge is to remember!!
  24. Wow, Shiba, where do you live? I'm very surprised that the school is that accommodating! I know in Texas, where I used to teach that the schools have to accommodate all learning and medical challenges, so it would make sense that they would also have to take care this. It's a medical problem.
  25. I find this board very confusing to figure out where to post things. I'm sure it's just my Lyme brain or celiac fog. What I can't figure out is why ALL the boards are lumped together when you click on "view new posts"....am I right ? or even more confused than I thought??
