Here's A New One... Peeling Mouth

I've seen that sore tongue and some mouth problems can be both symptoms of celiac and/or B vitamin deficiencies, but on the old posts here, most people say it cleared up after going gluten-free.

I'm 6 months gluten-free this week and am only rarely glutened anymore (yipee!! :) ) But suddenly I have this sore, cracked tongue, enlarged taste buds, and even weirder, peeling skin on the inside of my lips and cheeks.

I know I've had a B2 dificiency because I had cracked corners on my mouth, but that cleared up pretty quick from the mega-B vitamins I'm now taking.

Then this thing just started all of a sudden.

Anyone else had it or know what it is?

B vitamin overdoses can cause some nasty symptoms, you may want to look into that if you've been megadosing on stuff for awhile. Not sure if mouth sores are one of them.

I seem to constantly have a very dry tongue with sores on it, and I've cycled through some foods trying to avoid it with possible success, but definitely no peeling skin. Last I looked at things it looked at my mouth it looked almost like regular cold sores, and I wouldn't be surprised if, for myself, it's just herpes flare-ups.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
