We'll be celebrating my daughter's 18 birthday in Boston next month.  We are looking for a gluten-free restaurant near the theatre district as after we eat we are heading to see Boston Ballet perform.  

 

Any suggestions?

There are 2 that come to mind.  There is a steak house chain called Flemings that continually gets great reviews.  I have not had the chance to check it out but I know they have an official gluten free menu. It's a higher end chain so don't let the word chain deter you.

 

Then there is Teatro. It's on Tremont St. and I have eaten there and it is amazing.  Food is great and the atmosphere is special....gorgeous restaurant for special occasions.  I don't think they have a gluten-free menu but they accommodated me just fine.  It's Italian with lots of options like seafood also...not just pasta.  It is not cheap but a special experience if your budget allows.  I am sorry for the pricey options but I don't dine out that much and when I do, it's always the higher end places because I never seem to get glutened in that type of restaurant.  Boston is a very gluten-free friendly town.  Both of these places are listed as theater district dining.

 

I would check out their websites and call ahead to confirm gluten-free status anyway.  I hope you have a marvelous time!

Thanks for the suggestions!  Teatro was one of the places we were looking at for dinner.  My daughter will only turn 18 once so I did promise her a nice time!

I think an 18th birthday deserves a trip to Teatro.  You may want to contact them in advance just to verify the gluten free accommodation but really, I have never been to an upscale Boston restaurant that didn't offer up gluten-free options and do a good job of it.  The interior of the place is gorgeous.  It's very popular.

Bummer, I just tried to reserve a table through Open Table and they have no openings.  I'll give them a call tomorrow.  We aren't going until May 4.

 

Don't rely on Open table for reservations-A call and we are all set!

      So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.

      I used to be able to get the Rivera yougut i havent been able to get it lately. I like getting it did say it did say gluten free. I just looking for a good yogurt that gluten free that i can add some fruit and nuts to any suggestion would be helpful  thanks
