Bloated From Eatings Plums, Serious Wth?

Last night i had a quite a few plums and felt bloated for 3 hours, now i had only 3 with some spaghetti sauce and my COLON get bloated, what the hell?

 

Also, can fruits get cross contamination too and how common is it if yes.

 

This really suck, about a week ago i was finally getting better, more energy no more bloating, could drink milk, last night i had a chocolate bar and had every symptom of being lactose intolerant, it also feel I am having harder time with coffee now, and still no FREAKING energy, I had cut corn since today and replaced it with VEGGIES VEGGIES FRUITS FRUITS beef and eeg still feel like crap.

 

How long does this has to go for before I can do a normal day? I sleep 10 hours now and even 2 days ago I slept 14 and was totally drained.

Were you used to eating a lot of fruits and veggies before you went gluten free? If you are eating a lot more raw fruits and veggies suddenly that can cause bloating. Early on it seems anything can for some of us. It takes a while to heal and some find it helpful to go with well cooked fruits and veggies and mild foods for a bit. You may also be reacting to the milk. It might be a good idea to go with a safe milk alternative for a bit.

It takes time to heal so hang in there.

I been using almond milk, no cow milk and honey for sweetener.

Some extra protein might help with the energy, having hard boiled eggs in the fridge can be helpful

Also I been having an incredible difficulty breathing, this is really ridiculous it's as bad as if I had asthma, that has only gotten worse.

It could just be the fruit. I know a few fruits bother me, apples and pears make me quite bloated and crampy... No idea why.

How long have you been gluten free? For many of us going gluten-free means a complete change of what we eat, meaning that you've changed the type of fuel your body is used to, and it might require some time to get used to it. Withdrawal is always tough. 

I remember when I used to go through cleansing diets. The first days would be the toughest. I'd be so tired and out of energy, until the body gets used to it, then things go back to normal. Changing to a gluten-free diet is a lot more intense than a simple cleansing diet.

 

If the fruit is washed properly then you can't get cc from it. 

But don't blame everything on CC. The intestines can get agitated, upset or bloated from many things and not just gluten.

When I went to the gastroenterologist, he thought maybe my symptoms might be IBS. (I know they are from gluten). Anyway, he suggested I look up the FODMAP diet. This may be of use to you. There are suggestions of certain foods to avoid: gluten, dairy, honey, some fruits, etc.

A couple months ago i got candida, which is a yeast infection. And doctors couldnt explain why i getting that, because that happens to low immune systems, which im suspecting celiac. But candida causes bloating, difficulty swallowing, white spots in mouth, and they feed off of sugar and carbs. Before going glutenfree i was having recurrent candida. Im just making a suggestion, u should research it.

      What are your daily meals? Guilty pleasure snacks? Protein bars? I feel when looking for gluten free foods they are filled with sugar cholesterol. Looking for healthy gluten-free protein bars. Something to fill since sometimes I feel like not to eat anything. Especially if on vacation and unsure of cross contamination I figure go with a salad and protein bar to fill and play it safe.

      Unfortunately, there is presently no test for NCGS. Celiac disease must first be ruled out. NCGS is thought to be much more common than celiac disease. We know that celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder but the mechanism of NCGS is less clear. Both call for an elimination of gluten from the diet.

      Thanks for your reply Trents…most appreciated.  I am unfamiliar with celiac labs terminology so I wanted to know if the presence of HLA variants (DA:101, DA:105, DQB1:0301 and DQB1:0501) that the labs detected had any merit in predisposing one to be more sensitive to gluten/carbs than the general population?  Also,  I found what you said about NCGS very interesting and I appreciate you mentioning that.  I’ve worked hard to research and advocate for myself with my Hematologist and now with a new GI, since my bowel surgery and to maintain my Vitamin B12 health concurrent with keeping my levels of Iron in the optimal range. I’ve been tested for SIBO (do not have it), biopsy showed negative for HPylori, and have had Fecal studies done (nothing showed up) and I understand how a loss of a large amount of bowel could be highly impacting re: SIBO, malabsorption and motility issues. So I’ve managed pretty well diet and elimination-wise until just recently. That said, this new problem with extreme bloating, distention and upper girth, NAFLD just occured over the last 4 months so it is new for me and I thought celiac might be a possible issue. I’ll probably just continue on in this less gluten/carbs seem to be better for me and see how reintroducing certain foods go.  Thanks again.

      Thanks bumped it up and now take all 3 vitamins 2 capsules each with the super b complex at breakfast. I will give it some time to see if I notice a difference. I am going to track my eating daily diary on a myfitness pal app to see if the "claimed" gluten free foods bother me or not.

      Please can anyone help. I was diagnosed on 23rd December and I am trying my best to get my head around all the things to look out for. I have read that yeast extract is not to be eaten by coeliacs. Why? And is this all yeast extract. Or is this information wrong. Thanks.
