I think I may have a corn intolerance , of some sort. Hubbs and I are on a lil Vaca at our Cabin :) I have brought a bag of corn chips!! OMG really ??? The pain the next morning!!I only had a hand full!!  It is the weirdest thing!! I know the culprit! Thank goodness for the food diary!! Ty everyone for that tip!! That is amazing!! I have not eaten a regular can of corn as of yet! I have had some corn in soup, and yes I have had some problems. I couldn't put my finger on it!! Now I know it is corn!! I might do another trial just to make sure! But I am pretty sure it is corn!! Any thing eles I should look for? I know some ppl get or have intolerance's to some other stuff .. This was hard to pin down!! Hopefully it is the only thing!! TY every one!!

Pining down addisional intolerances is a tricky one, I'm working on the same thing myself. How do you react to corn (if thats it)? I suspect that for me as well, but not sure yet.

If you need to avoid corn, you need to check out this website. Trying to keep corn out of your diet is about a thousand times harder than avoiding gluten. One reason is it is not considered one of the top 8 allergens, so they don't have to label for it when it is used in processing. The other reason is that it is cheaper than other things, so it is used in almost every processed food there is. I am intolerant to gluten and soy as well as corn. I have managed to avoid gluten, and I have managed to avoid soy. But I have been "corned" too many times to count.

I am intolerant to corn also. It's a nightmare. I eat only whole foods now so not so hard to avoid doing this....

I want to reintroduce but don't know where to start!!

Start with corn starch. The protein is mostly processed out of it. That's why I can now tolerate it. But even though I got it back, I lost it again for a while after a glutening. I've got it back again now, after several months.

I usually eat just a whole meat and a vegetable, every once in a while , and not too often I will have corn chips, well I also made some soup. What I experience is in the am, next morning or during the middle of the night I wake up with excruciating pain in my gut! It is sooo painful!! One time I thought I would have to call 911 on myself. But turns out it is gas! Can you believe it? So the first time I indulged in Corn Chips , made sure they were Gluten Free! I was just trying to have a lil snak! The second time was with soup! We made some Turkey soup put corn in it, had alot of other things. The 3rd time we are up north , brought a bag of corn chips. Sat up ate a handful of corn chips and sure enuf in the AM I had those pains again!! Yea it's corn I am sure of it. I can tolerate the pain if I have to. But jeeze!! Ok off to go look up that website! TY everyone!!

I have also come to realize I have major issues with corn.  I always knew it upset me and was careful with it, but now it's really a problem and I'm avoiding it as well as gluten.  In fact, I have issues with pretty much all grains.  I get away with occasional brown rice, but don't eat much and I eat it quite rarely.  But all other grains are problematic, as are the gluten free baked goods because those also contain problematic starches and other grains to make them taste good.  Corn and tapioca starch (in so many gluten-free foods) really upset me almost as much as gluten.

So ok I know I have a problem with corn , my question is this, will it damage my body? Or is it just giving me pain and gas? I know Gluten damages the villi , but what does the corn intolerance do?

Yes.  I have heard this nonsense over and over.  If it had any truth to it, in current research, wouldn't those of us that have been doing this for years and actually reading the research have mentioned it to people?  Wouldn't the Celiac centers tell people about it?  I don't consider someone who calls himself a chiropractor a Celiac researcher or expert. And it is quoting another dubious group.

It is possible that corn makes you sick.  It is possible that bananas give me gas and bloating, just like gluten does.  Does that mean the bananas have gluten? Or "cross react"?  Or are doing damage to my intestines? Of course not.

I didn't think they had Gluten. I was just wondering if it was damaging :) Thanks :) Thats what I was looking for. I don't mind a lil pain and gas . But I do if it is damaging my body. TY TY TY Makes me feel a lil better ......

Get your info from reliable sources.  It is an actual medical center  - that might be a good source.  Some guy who calls himself a doctor and is selling products and saying stuff that seems way off from what you have been seeing - not a good choice.

I know what you mean finding from a good source, It is hard to find answers and finding a good source is easy I guess if they answer your question , without rehashing a ton of info I have read a million times. I have A.D.D. it is so hard for me to read over and over the same stuff. When I just want a yes or no. If ya know what I mean. I try and read at night when I have more quiet. :)

Thiamax (TTFD) plus a B-complex, and if you want benfotiamine, the Life Extension formula covers that at ~100 mg.

      High fiber can definitely cause sudden GI distress especially if it’s a new addition but accidental gluten exposure can feel similar. Keeping a simple food/symptom log and introducing new gluten-free foods one at a time can really help you spot the pattern.       sorry a bit confused so I should take my B complex along with Objective Nutrients Thiamax for TTFD but what about a Benfotiamine to take. The Life extensions contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine together or im confusing myself. I am trying to see if I take Thiamax what should I take for Benfotiamine. Thanks EDITING after further research I see ones water soluble ones fat soluble. So I guess 100MG as you suggested of Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. and the Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     would work for me.

      I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.
