Hello, my name is Joana, sorry my English is not the best
5 months ago I'm having problems in genitas organs.
Initially began to feel a burning sensation in the genitals after putting several medications for fungi the situation has improved, but it starts to get  worse
In second phase I went to genecologista he sent me  to the dermatologist because I was diagnosed dermatitis medicated me with curtisona and Protopic past two months mucous have a normal appearance but a burning sensation continues.

I'm getting desperate, I went to a lot of doctors, they  told me it could be an autoimmune disease. I researched and I think may be the cedialac disease, I will do tests.
While walking causes me burning, I can not wear underwear,  I need help please!!
Does anyone have the same symptoms, or know of anything?

Thank you, please if you know something answer me. :(

Ouch.  My first thought was it could be a yeast (candida) infection.  That can cause a great deal of discomfort.

The rash associated with celiac disease is dermatitis herpetiformis (dh).  It is a horribly itchy rash that is very sensitive to gluten consumption.  We have a forum for dh here, so asking questions about it there could give you more information. https://www.celiac.com/forums/forum/26-dermatitis-herpetiformis/

To see if the rash is dh, a doctor will need to biopsy and test beside the rash.  You can also have blood tests done: tTG IgA, tTG IgG, DGP IgA, DGP igG, EMA IgA, total serum IgA and maybe the older AGA IgA and AGA IgG tests.  Do not eat gluten-free until testing is done.

I'm sure other with rash experience will offer more advice.  Best wishes.

I have to say it doesn't sound like classic Dermatitis Herpetiformis.

Welcome to the forum.  What country are you located in?

What you describe doesn't sound like a typical presentation of DH.  While it wouldn't hurt to get tested for that and Celiac disease, have you been tested for other things, such as Sexually Transmitted Diseases?  Have you had cultures done, where they can see if there is bacteria or yeast there?  It just seems like something may have been missed, such as a bad yeast infection perhaps.  I would see another doctor for a second opinion.

Research Lichen Sclerosus. It is a skin disease that some doctors classify as an autoimmune disorder. It mostly affects the genitals. Some get it on their chest. No one know why it happens. It happens mostly to women. There is no cure, but special hydrocortisone medication for it can relieve itching and some pain. It seems to affect those with hormonal issues like those with thyroid disease or menopausal hormone drops. You can not infect your partner.

A biopsy may be required.

I wish you well.

Thank you for your awnser.

I am living in Portugal, it can´t be Sexually Transmitted Diseases, because i had done tests.

I done tests for baterias and yeast and they are negative. I went to a more than one doctor.

Before this start i lose 10 kilos.

Best Regards

Hi everyone, my intolerance to gluten tests came back negative , but I gave positive bigotry bread yeast , I have seen on other blogs people who complain that by eating bread are burning with the genitals but will very little information about it . I will two weeks without eating bread, pasta, cereals, chocolates, drink milk or any alcoholic drink, basically just as fruit, soup, meat, fish .

My situation during these two weeks seemed to be improving , but it seems I was wrong, I still have a great ardor , when stray too walk my vagina ignites , today for example I did almost nothing and I have a big burning felling. I do not have fungi , itching , done a big variety of tests all come out negative. I am desperate please share you know .
Does anyone know how long I have to go without eating bread yeast to see results ?

Thank you

@Gigi2025  Thank you for your interesting post.  Some of what you say chimes with something my gastroenterologist tells me - that he has clients who travel to France and find the same as you  - they will eat normal wheat baguette there without issue, for example.  His theory was he thought it might be to do with the locally sourced wheat being different to our own in the UK? But I have to say my own experience has been quite different. I have been to France twice since my diagnosis, and have been quite ill due to what was then (pre-2019)  poor labelling and cross-contamination issues.  My TTG test following my last visit was elevated - 'proof of the pudding', as we say in the UK!  It was not just a case of eating something like, say, shellfish, that disagreed with me - gluten was clearly an issue. I've also been to Italy to visit family a couple of times since my diagnosis.  I did not want to take any chances so kept to my gluten free diet, but whilst there what I did notice is that coeliacs are very well catered for in Italy, and many brands with the same ingredients in the UK are clearly marked on the front of their packaging that they are 'senza glutine'.  In the UK, you would have to find that information in the small print - or it puts people off buying it, so I am told!  So it seems to me the Italians are very coeliac aware - in fact, all children are, I believe, screened for coeliac disease at the age of 6.  That must mean, I guess, that many Italian coeliacs are actively avoiding gluten because, presumably, if they don't, they will fall ill?

Thank you both very much. I’m pretty familiar with the various tests, and my older two girls with official dxs have even participated in research on other tests as well. I just felt overwhelmed and shocked that these recent results (which I found pretty dang conclusive after having scott clean labs just six months ago) would still be considered inconclusive. Doc said we could biopsy in another six weeks because my daughter was actually way more upset than I anticipated about the idea of eating it for years before doing another biopsy. It doesn’t hurt her, but she’s afraid of how it may be hurting her in ways she can’t feel. She’s currently eating mini wheats for breakfast, a sandwich with lunch, and a side of pasta along with every dinner, so I’m hoping we’re meeting that 10g benchmark mentioned in that second article!

Have you tried a genetic test to look for Celiac genes?  No gluten challenge required.

Hello, @ElisaAllergiesgluten, Have you tried going on a low histamine Paleo diet like the Autoimmune Protocol diet?  A low histamine AIP diet would help your body rid itself of the extra histamine it's making in response to allergies.  Are you Celiac as well?   Since we need more thiamine when we're stressed, adding Benfotiamine, a form of Thiamine Vitamin B 1, can help the body calm down it's release of histamine.  Benfotiamine improves Sailors' asthma.

Don't skimp on the gluten daily while undergoing the gluten challenge!
