Just as good as " gluteny" and this brand is everywhere.

Also, Progresso has a mushroom soup that is gluten-free but it isn't condensed so you may have to adjust fluid in a recipe.

Doxy's  recently came  out  for a  onion  soup  dry mix.  Good's  also  has one.&   plenty of  recipes  on the  web  for  gluten-free  either  one.

I don't use the dry onion soup mixes but I have seen one in the " healthy" section that was gluten-free. It was white and green and maybe named " simply". Or "organic". The point being.... There are some out there, you just have to look hard. They aren't very big.... :)

You can quickly brown/caramelize onions by sauteing them with a sprinkle of baking soda over them. Caramelize onions and add cream. Can of mushroom bits and pieces; saute and add cream.

The Kroger brand onion soup mix has no evil ingredients listed and I have used it a good bit with no problem. Check other store brands... they are often all made by the same company and are identical except the labels.

"I am quite convinced this gluten is coming from exposure whilst eating out.  Small levels, that don't make me violently sick, but might give me a mild stomach upset." cristiana, are you saying this is your actual experience or are you speculating here?

I have tried many Vit D. Solgad is one that did not cause any problems. I take 5000IU. Most of their vitamins are gluten-free certified but this is not.  They can be purchased direct from Solgar or Amazon.
