Great -Mandy for this illness in my opinion requires one.  I wouldn't claim to have one based on my religious based school upbringing and often the way many of my celiac symptoms including mood was missed and dismissed as an overly sensitive child that thick skin and celiac diagnosis allude me. Decades-

I must dismantle the programming and the imposed "sensitive" label. I was sensitive to food ! 

Ironically , as I aged the cc turns me into an irritable lady so sensitive is probably a word no one will use anymore. 

The phases of the celiac sensitive child to irritable adult -

So as I learn the lifestyle to proper health inside and out,  avoid cc, and advocate for self and also my child

It's hard to develop a thick skin now , but must I shall...

I agree. Can't tell you how many times my mother called me overly sensitive....

      Yes, I've read that online but I was just surprised that no one has mentioned it on this forum specifically.  We have not had our follow up meeting with the Dr where I'm sure she will advise as to how he needs to deal with this ailment.  I have learned from past health issues - if you want to find the REAL truth - talk to someone living with the disease.  THEY will know way more than any doctor ever could.    Thanks for responding.
