Some of you in CO, NV, NM and AZ will already know Sunflower Market...but we just got one in my town...about 7 blocks from my house ;) I am going tonight...but my brother went today and called me...said they had an aisle labeled gluten-free. I will check it out! Great for me...but, great for all of us still as more and more options appear across the country. Hopefully I will be able to snag a manager. It sounds like your Sunflower is better than mine. There are some gluten-free options but I have beter luck at other places.

So my dh and I went last night...and the place was great. There were a few gluten-free products I wish they had, but overall they had a really good selection..and a few products I hadn't seen before. From the products I checked, they are definitely cheaper than wild oats or even a mainline grocery like Marsh. Their organic apples ranged from 1.39 to 1.69 a pound. Organic apples can be 2.69 a wild oats...so that is good. Their website says they are looking to expand...so start writing those letters ;) Oh, and it is great to be at a store where they understand gluten-free...my cashier asked which one of us was gluten-free, and said he has a friend with Celiac and knows it can be difficult. He knew was Celiac was...definitely a plus :)

      I hadn't been eating gluten free before having the antibody test done. I started eating gluten free after having the test done because the gastro PA told me to eat gluten-free for 6 months. I'm now 3 months in.

      I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

      It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

      Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

      Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞
