Cheap Lip Liners

Today was my big make up shopping trip. Yesterday I went to Walgreen's but they didn't have anything except some gluten-free lipsticks. So I figure Super Target has so much make up they'll have everything I need. Nope - no such luck. I was in the beauty dept. for so long that I was concerned that security was wathcing me and I'm not paranoid by nature. Cosmetics are one of the most shoplifted items and I was opening boxes, wandering back and forth and yet I left only with some new foundation. None of the lip and eye liners or powders on the Delphi list were at the store and none of the items on the shelves were on the Delphi list. Do I have to go to the mall and pay a fortune to buy these items gluten-free? I used to work for Macy's in cosmetics and Revlon owned my line - Borghese. My rep. from NYC told me flat out that many of the high end cosmetics are the same as the lower end drugstore brands (SAME thing exactly) in nicer packaging so I stopped paying top $ for cosmetics years ago. I have found everything except the lip and eye liners and pressed powder. None of the Max Factor or Cover Girl gluten-free stuff is in any of my stores....not sure why but I need to get something tomorrow even if I have to go to the mall. Ugh!!

I use Lame Advertisement lip & eye liners. They are gluten free and not too expensive. You can see them here: Open Original Shared Link I am a consultant, so I receive a discount. Easy to sign up, and then you can order your makeup and just have it shipped to your home. Convenient and gluten free!! Just an f.y.i.! :)

Thanks Kimberly! I hate ordering online but I'll take a chance since I'm tired of perusing retail stores. I need a two neutral shades (summer/winter) and I'll get RED HOT for fun. For the others would you recommend the NICE and the SIENNA? It's just so hard not seeing them in person for me to choose. I pomise not to blame you if I don't like them since you were nice enough to reply to my post. Thanks again.

Wow... I am not sure. I would have to go home and see what colors mine are. The colors on-line are pretty true though. I will look, if I remember, and post again after lunch! :) They are really good products. The quality is excellent.

P.S. I wear warm/neutral shades too

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.

Your experience is both shocking and critically important for the community to hear, underscoring the terrifying reality that cross-contamination can extend into the most unexpected and invasive medical devices. It is absolutely devastating that you had to endure six months of sickness and ultimately sustain permanent vision loss because a doctor dismissed your legitimate, life-altering condition. Your relentless research and advocacy, from discovering the gluten in MMA acrylic to finding a compassionate prosthodontist, is a testament to your strength in a system that often fails celiac patients. While the scientific and medical consensus is that gluten cannot be absorbed through the skin or eyes (as the molecules are too large to pass through these barriers), your story highlights a terrifying gray area: what about a substance *permanently implanted inside the body*, where it could potentially shed microparticles or cause a localized immune reaction? Your powerful warning about acrylic lenses and the drastic difference with the silicone alternative is invaluable information. Thank you for sharing your harrowing journey and the specific, severe neurological symptoms you endure; it is a stark reminder that celiac is a systemic disease, and your advocacy is undoubtedly saving others from similar trauma.
