There is a lot of good discussion on this topic if you search for beer in the assistant part of the control panel. I found New Grist to be the best.

Good luck!

And if you are in Canada, La Messagere is gluten-free.

How did you get the gluten free beers? I live in California, and noticed that they are not sold her.

Thanks,

A Gluten-Free Beer! Go to Open Original Shared Link Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, WI is brewing a gluten-free beer called New Grist (New Ingredients). The web site has some great information and take a look at their commercials for this beer, they are great! I also saw that the New Grist beer won a blue ribbon at the international gluten-free beer festival in England. Give it a try. It is being distributed nationally. If you your local liquor store or health food store doesn't carry it request it!

Enjoy,

Big AL

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
