Hi Gant -

Suggestions for you - first that you sit down, take a deep breath and write an outline of what you want to accomplish - what SPECIFIC things you want to know. Then use the search feature on this site to followup on the specifics - e.g. symptoms - tests - foods - doctors - specialists - about gluten - etc. Celiac is a complicated subject - take it slow - decide what aspects of the subject you want to emphasize and work from there.

There is tons of material on this site already - you just have to go in and look at what is already available.

After you do that you may have more specific questions to ask of forum members who are always very helpful and prompt to reply. Claire

Thanks for helping me. I will use your suggestions. I also might ask people to fill out a survey. Do you think people would be willing to do this? Thanks, Gant :)

Hi again - I think they probably would but I would still suggest some reading on the threads here to get a feel for your subject so you can put together an appropriate survey - one that isn't too log=ng and perhapss asks provocative questions - the thing that will make your project stand out. Don't forget - there is humor even in disease - and this one has plenty. You could work that into your survey.

Hang in there. Claire

Gant -- I'm sure that if you had a questionnaire that you wanted completed, most of the people on the forum would be happy to help. There are a lot of great people who "talk" on here! . . . Lynne

Hi Grant--That's great that you're doing Celiac for your science fair! I bet the finished project will attract a lot of people--so many don't know a thing about it. By doing this, you will not only educate yourself on your Mom's disease, but you will be diong your part to educate everyone who comes to look at your work. I think it would be a good idea to give a basic overview of Celiac, and then maybe focus in on one or two (depending on how big you want to go with this thing) sub-issues like the gluten free diet, or how Celiac affects a person's social life. You can look through this board and visit the different forums for ideas. There are so many aspects to this disease--you can take your pick! Good luck--if you deciede to do a poll, I'll be happy to participate :) . And if there's anything else you need, let us know.

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
