I was just wondering if anyone knows of any new places carrying gluten free beer, like Ramapo or if New Grist has made it to New England yet. I know there was some talk a while back about gluten free beer coming to MA stores. Summer is coming and so are the barbeques!

Thanks!!!

Not that this will answer your question for sure (It will give you contact info to call on).. But a friend sent me article summarzing all the types/brands of gluten-free beer available now and I wanted to pass it along: Open Original Shared Link

The best one I have tried so far is "New Grist" by Lakefront brewery.

Check out their website -- www.lakefrontbrewery.com

If you have questions about MA or NH, call the number to the brewery -- they just told me that gluten-free beer is coming to Nevada NEXT WEEK!!

Hooray!

I buy Rampo Valley at Whole Foods in Framingham all the time.

OmniFoods Supermarket has Ramapo Beer in their Chestnut Hill store, they may be getting it in their store in Meredith, NH as well in the summer, that stores name is Jackson Star.

Here is the website for location info

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
