Personally, I say see-lee-ack, but I have also commonly heard sill-ee-ack (aka Silly Yak :D )

Thank you so much for that info! Only having seen it written before, I had guessed too and that's how I was pronouncing it (see-lee-yack). Glad to know I was right. Nobody had ever corrected me or anything, but everyone I said it to had either never heard it before either or was a doctor (and based on what else they knew about the disease, I doubted they'd know how to pronounce it...) ;)

Oliver, our ten-year-old elder statesman, is my current avatar. He is a gentle, twenty-pound giant ginger tabby. He is thirty inches long from nose to tip of tail.

:D:D:D I agree, not Altoids for minors. I do think that minors should be carded when buying Altoids.

See? The divorce rate among the younger generation is going to plummet! Maybe churches should give out Altoids for communion wafers instead of those yucky wheat things! Can you just picture couples kneeling down saying their prayers and giving each other that "knowing" wink?:rolleyes:;)B)

Hugs.

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
