Whole Foods Cheddar Cheese Scones Discontinued?

Sis

Recommended Posts

Sis Rookie

I am totally UPSET to find out that the whole foods bakehouse has discontinued the cheddar cheese scones. I went to pick some up a couple of weeks ago and they were gone, so I asked the customer service person and they said they weren't carrying them anymore. I can't believe it. It is hard enough finding things that are gluten free that actually taste like the real thing to me! Anyone else out there tried them? Maybe if we complain enough they will start to carry them again. In the meantime, if anyone has any good recipes for gluten-free Cheddar Cheese Scones, let me know please.

Someone bought those for me and I thought they were terrible! So maybe I'm not the only one... I like a lot of Whole Foods' Bakehouse items, but I don't understand the idea of a cheese flavored breakfast food. They might not have been selling well, but who knows, it never hurts to try to get WF to carry them again if you really like them.

Good luck. Wish I could have given you mine that I threw away!

I know that I would be upset if they discontinued the Cranberry/Orange Scones. They are wonderful - I buy them by the case and freeze them. They are always sold out of them when I go, which is not too often. The closest store is pretty far away. I always call about a week before I plan to make a trip to the store, and place an order for them and the Blueberry Muffins, so they will be there when I go.

My Whole Foods gluten-free freezer here in NJ is full of them! I don't think they are discontinued for good. I think they are alternating the Almond ones and the Cheese to see which does better in certain markets. They could come back to you!

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.

Many years ago yes, after eating and going to bed, apparently my esophagus filled with food that my body rejected, the esophagus would lay against the Heart sack (pericardium?) and the heart would respond by becoming arrhythmic. That went away with the strict diet.
