 Went out to lunch with my daughter. I ordered a salad with no dressing, as I brought my Maries creamy ranch (which I looked up on the delfi list before I went). Of course, having a wonderful lunch.... I glanced at the expiration date and it was Jan - 05!!!

I am sooo tired now and I want to sleep, but my stomach noises are keeping me awake.

Don't ya think that I need to clean out my refridgerator!!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Yikes! :o

Lunch with your daughter sounds like fun. After lunch effects sound not so good. I would think your stomach would be in major rebellion. Double check anything that comes out of your fridge or cupboard before ingesting! :P I'm wary of things that are even 1 month over expiration. Some things even sooner than that. :D

You're not dumb Lisa--it's so easy to put something in the fridge, and before you know it, months have gone by! It happens to me more times than I care to admit. Not like we have nothing else to think about  The trick is to remember to check the dates if you can't remember the last time you used something. Hope you feel better fast! :D

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.

It's great to hear that eliminating gluten has helped alleviate symptoms like eye burning, which is a significant and positive change. The first and most important step is to ensure you're consuming enough protein throughout the day to support muscle repair and growth, which can be challenging with a busy schedule. Since you're already physically active at work, adding focused strength training just 2-3 times per week can make a major difference. Bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups (modified if needed), and lunges, or using resistance bands at home, are excellent, efficient places to start. Remember, consistency with these short sessions and prioritizing post-workout recovery, including good sleep and hydration, are just as crucial as the workouts themselves. It's a smart, gradual process at any age.

Trader Joe's carries a good variety of affordable gluten-free foods like bagels, hamburger buns, pasta, etc. I like Franz Gluten Free bread, which is available at my local Costco. Food For Life and Little Northern Bakehouse (advertisers here) also make excellent gluten-free breads. Costco also sells gluten-free pizzas, crackers, gravy, etc.
