Question About Alcohol

I don't plan on drinking anytime soon but since I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and summer has now started on the shore, I'll probably make an exception here and there.

So what can I safely drink? I've only drank once since going gluten-free in January so I haven't looked into the content of alcohol much... I can drink rums if they aren't spiced rums and vodka (aside from the distillation debate), right? can I mix with sprite and cranberry juice? I only drink water (exciting, right? B) ) so I don't even know about non-alcoholic drinks like juices and sodas. And do I need to watch out for anything when ordering at a bar? Oh, and I also need to make sure the drinks don't have corn, soy, or casein. Thanks.

Wine can have casein. Search in google for a list of casein free wine.

7-up and pepsi are gluten free.

I presently drink 7-up and Seagrams 7 with no problems. Since you have not had any drinks in a while, try just a splash - no strong and see you can deal with it.

I had my first drink in literally 2 years at Easter! I had a glass of wine--and felt fine after. I didn't dare try anything stronger :D

I'm hoping the conditioning work I put in drinking during college has stayed with me to some degree. And I've never been "just a splash" type drinker, but I'll see what I can do. For all I know, my tolerance to alcohol is better than my tolerance to food. Probably not, but I'm sure I can get myself drunk enough to believe it. :D

Just think how much money you'll save on liquor now that you'll absorb more of it!

Yea, one martini and I'm loopy ... my brother in law is so envious, says if he could get loopy off one drink he'd be a wealthy man! :D

From their website I see "organic barley leaf powder" as an ingredient. Keep in mind that the gluten is in the kernel, and not in the leaves. https://drinkag1.com/about-ag1/ingredients/ctr

Before the rise of social media we were well known by a lot of doctors and were recommended by many, especially our Safe & Forbidden Lists, but as doctors get younger and younger this is probably not happening as much as before.

Thanks Scott I will definitely check my vitamins and minerals to see what I am missing so then I can supplement. I was very concern about my Meniers syntoms and i tryed to find some alive. Now im just realizing that my celiac is provably the root cause of my Meniers none of the 12 doctors I saw told me anything about this.  This web site is so helpful, thanks to people like you we can get answers.

Vitamin D deficiency can contribute to rib pain. Chest pain stemming from the ribs ccould be costochondritis, which involves inflammation of the cartilage connecting the ribs to the breastbone. This pain can range from mild to severe, potentially mimicking heart attack symptoms, and is often worsened by breathing or movement. Other potential causes include muscle strain, rib fractures, or even referred pain from other conditions.  It will also help to chose vegetables low in omega 6.
