Lifestream Waffles

Has anyone had problems with Lifestream waffles? Specifically the Mesa Sunrise waffles? I had them for breakfast this morning and soon after had similar symptoms that I had after eating Frosted Mini Wheats before I went gluten-free (dry mouth, skin-crawling feeling). I also very REALLY sick to my stomach for about an hour.

(Sorry if this post appears twice...I tried posting it earlier, but it seems to have disappeared)

I've been wondering about the blueberry buckwheat waffles. I was getting gluten for a while and couldn't figure out why, so I eliminated all of the newest stuff in my diet, including the waffles. I don't know if it was the waffles or not, but I don't seem to be getting it now.

unlike their cereals, nature's path produces their waffles in a non-gluten free facility. i would think it might have something to do with cross-contamination.

i've never tried them (nor would i, becasue of this - far easier to make my own waffles instead of taking a risk), but i would chalk it up to that.

I've never noticed a problem with the blueberry waffles.

I can't eat any of their waffles.

I don't know if it's cc or something else. I noticed their waffles are very grainy - not gluten grain, I mean it's like eating sand. Anything I can't fully digest (popcorn, seeds, nuts, corn/meal, lettuce, etc.) tends to cause me tummy trouble after awhile. <_<

I stopped eating them. I think they have a cc statement on the package.

I was just going to add this thread for myself. I've been eating Lifestream Buckweat berry waffles everyday and I just opened a new package 2 days ago, and for 2 days I've had trouble. I can't figure anything else in my diet doing it. I've really cracked down on my diet this past month or so and I don't see what else it could be. I'd say it's definately the waffles. I did notice (today) the statement on the package: made in a NON-gluten free environment. I know people have said Vans are contaminated sometimes too. Guess it's no more waffles for me!

I know what you mean. I have resorted to using a waffle/pancake mix and having them only on the weekends as a treat.

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
