Oh God yeah!

ALL THE TIME> I am a newbie....so I am assuming its just my intestines / everything else not processing the food right. Like today, I ate totally organic chicken and zuchini....grilled...no sauce nothing. I am burping now.

Then other times....nada.....and this I knwo will last a couple of hours till it goes through my system

I am miserable when this happens, alot of times I cry. So I hear you....I hear you totally.

I have this too, what I describe more as indigestion. I dont know if this is a symptom of celiacs as my dad and brother have always had it. I used to get it once in a while via raw onions stuff like that.

Now being gluten free I get indigestion all the time. Sometimes downright painful. I end up crying myself. For a while I was eating Tums like candy and drinking tons of milk. My dad just gave me some of his new RX, I know isnt a good idea, but its working. Its called Zegried. (sp?) It has worked wonders. My dad stopped taking it, as he couldnt take the pill, too large, so he got the powder.. and it tastes gross.

I just deal with the taste as it helps me so much. I dont know if this relates to your problem. I hope you feel better soon

I have been gluten free since mid-August, 2006. I also, have been burping more and I get indigestion alot. I am hoping this goes away soon! My intestines felt better a few days after going gluten free! Yeah!

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
