This is a place to vent, and you are welcome to do that, but if you don't want people's suggestions then don't ask..

Ooops..... This was from a different thread that I chose, yet decided it was not a good idea to post my reply-so I just walked away. But I'll reply here:

'Here-Here and I'm sooooo done now!"

Used " So Delicious" hazelnut creamer today in my coffee. Yum! They should make this flavor of " ice cream". The creamer is too sweet to drink straight.

J and hub meet the governor today. He is dedicating the special center where he takes high school engineering classes.

I prefer the vanilla creamer and they do make a corresponding ice cream. I do think, however, that I could drink the creamer straight....

My uncle works with our governor. I'm not really sure that's a good thing though....

All right, and another frightening individual, at least to me: Justin Bieber.

Russell,

gFinDc suggested a ride on the space shuttle. :). She took it seriously.

Is that the NKOB that's gay?

Jeff never met the guv. He was too busy on the fun tools in his class. Kids started coming back with cake and then he went out to the reception.

I saw that

Not gay, married (not to me <_< ) with kid (again, not mine <_< )

My uncle is in the House of Representatives. Even though he's a Democrat, he's a good guy, I totally respect him ;):P I think my sister met the governor when she was the head of Girls Without Limits in Olympia for the YWCA. I don't really care

Gah, youse guys are making me, yet again, venture out into the annals of C.com and actually search out another thread... ..something that likely deals with celiac disease in some way, for some reason. . .. .....

Governor of Kansas. . . . . .......this is Mark Parkinson, yes? Just looked up his pic as I've never seen what he looks like. Up here these guys are called Provincial Premiers, and I want a nice-looking bloke like you have, Kherrighnne..... . . . .. . .

Because, of course, one's physical appearance trumps literally everything else... . .who cares what they stand for? If they have a face like a can o' worms, they should not be heading up anything.. . .. <_<

kareng Grand Master

Did you find the Xmas thread? It's been causing Russell and I to bang our heads against the wall.

Guv doesn't seem to do much but he looks good at ceremonial functions. Previously, we had Kathleen Sebilus.

I love The Black Eyed Peas and it always freaked my 18 year old out that I was them and that kind of music (also hip hop/rap). I worked in an inner city school for 2 years and I think that helped me bond with the kids. i have eclectic musical taste. For the longest time I was trying to find a song by Gwen Stefani - started with a B and I would love to find it. I thought I had it on my iPod.

Haven't had time to read this thread today. Filling out medical releases for my next test (they're scaring me), yelling at a company that took my money and hasn't shipped the overpriced product, and I'm cooking my husband rabbit stew (Is it What's Up Doc or Fatal Attraction)? He spent a great deal of his childhood in Spain and they caught, skinned and cooked rabbits. I bought one at the Farmer's Market yesterday and it looked like a roast. When I went to cut it, it was a whole skinned rabbit AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! It does smell good. It's supposed to taste like chicken. He deserves a treat because he's been beyond supportive. I put in things that I can eat. I can't help feeling I murdered Bugs Bunny. Am I still allowed here?

I love bunnies! That said, I do realize they were put on this earth to be eaten by most everyone - coyotes, wild cats of various types, hawks, people, etc. That's why they make so many babies. :)

Really looking forward to the HS football game tonight. It will be 50 degrees and pouring rain.

I'm afraid you must gather your things and leave.

   Just kidding

My dad tells how his mother used to cook rabbits and chickens that she raised in her backyard. Used to butcher them herself--she died when I was 4, but she musta been a tough broad :P

Mine's decided he's done with gymnastics and wants to move to swimming. I don't think he realizes that he still has to go to the gym because sister is not quitting, so instead of having class, he has to just sit there for an hour being bored and complaining  Swimming would be really good for him-he has NO fear of the water!

Hi Jane: You may want to try the D3 I now take. I have reactions to fillers and many additives. Sports Research, it is based in the USA and I have had no bad reactions with this brand. The D3 does have coconut oil but it is non GMO, it is Gluten free, Soy free, Soybean free and Safflower oil free.  I have a cupboard full of supplements that did not agree with me -  I just keep trying and have finally settled on Sports Research. I take NAKA Women's Multi full spectrum, and have not felt sick after taking 2 capsules per day -  it is a Canadian company. I buy both from Amazon. I wish you well in your searching, I know how discouraging it all is. Florence.

highly unlikely  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING else has ever caused me these kinds of symptoms I have no problem with dates, they are a large part of my diet In fact, I eat a very high fiber, very high vegetable and bean diet and have for many years now. It's considered a whole foods plant based or plant forward diet (I do now eat some lean ground turkey but not much) I was off dairy for years but recently had to add back plain yogurt to meet calcium needs that I am not allowed to get from supplements (I have not had any problem with the yogurt)   I eat almost no processed foods. I don't eat out. almost everything I eat, I cook myself I am going to keep a food diary but to be honest, I already know that it's wheat products and also barley that are the problem, which is why I gradually stopped eating and buying them. When I was eating them, like back in early 2024, when I was in the middle of moving and ate out (always had bread or toast or rolls or a sub or pizza) I felt terrible but at that time was so busy and exhausted that I never stopped to think it was the food. Once I was in my new place, I continued to have bread from time to time and had such horrible joint pain that I was preparing for 2 total knee replacements as well as one hip! The surgery could not go forward as I was (and still am) actively losing calcium from my bones. That problem has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated   anyway over time I realized that I felt better when I stopped eating bread. Back at least 3 yrs ago I noticed that regular pasta made me sick so I switched to brown rice pasta and even though it costs a lot more, I really like it.   so gradually I just stopped buying and eating foods with gluten. I stopped getting raisin bran when I was constipated because it made me bloated and it didn't help the constipation any more (used to be a sure bet that it would in the past)   I made cookies and brownies using beans and rolled oats and dates and tahini and I LOVE them and have zero issues eating those I eat 1 or more cans of beans per day easily can eat a pound of broccoli - no problem! Brussels sprouts the same thing.   so yeh it's bread and related foods that are clearly the problem  there is zero doubt in my mind

Thank you for your post, @nanny marley It is interesting what you say about 'It's OK not to sleep'. Worrying about sleeping only makes it much harder to sleep.  One of my relatives is an insomniac and I am sure that is part of the problem.  Whereas I once had a neighbour who, if she couldn't sleep, would simply get up again, make a cup of tea, read, do a sudoku or some other small task, and then go back to bed when she felt sleepy again.  I can't think it did her any harm - she lived  well into her nineties. Last week I decided to try a Floradix Magnesium supplement which seems to be helping me to sleep better.  It is a liquid magnesium supplement, so easy to take.  It is gluten free (unlike the Floradix iron supplement).  Might be worth a try.

It could be a fructan intolerance? How do you do with dates?  https://www.dietvsdisease.org/sorry-your-gluten-sensitivity-is-actually-a-fructan-intolerance/

Thank’s for addressing the issue of mushrooms.  I was under the impression that only wild mushrooms were gluten-free.  Have been avoiding cultivated mushrooms for years. Also, the issue of smoked food was informative.  In France last year, where there is hardly any prepared take-out food that is gluten-free, I tried smoked chicken.  Major mistake!
