Deputies did not say why Trumble attacked the washer. She was ticketed.

First time I read this, I thought it said, "She was ticked"

Talk about a dichotomy. Anyway, as usual I digress. We should figure out which psillie could role play and try the woman who assaulted the washer. I can think of reasons I'd assault my glass top stove. Thanks for the smile biggrin.gif I'll pop in again later.Loey

Hmmmmm.....I think Nikkers could play the woman who attacked the washer. Methinks she might have some pent-up anger....just guessing :P

I absolutely LOVE my dishwasher. Have never felt any resentment, any bitterness nor frustration, towards my lovely ol' Whirlpool.. .. . . . ...now my fridge....ha. Milk frozen on the condenser - - why doesn't it have an automatic THAW response??

She'd be a natural, but in her role-playing you'd have to tell her it was the boiler  not the washer.

Perhaps it was all a ruse . . . maybe she just wanted something new. My current washer & dryer don't match, don't do very big loads and are LOUD. I told me hubby which ever one goes out first, we're replacing them both with a top notch (cha-chinchillaching) pair. That was several years ago. They're still going . . . I might have to resort to sabotage . . . with a knife apparently.

Riddle me this, batman . . . why is the person (Skeeter) with the most clothes in the house, the one that runs out of clean clothes first??

Hiya Jan-it!!!!! :D

How's things?

Ummmm . . . busy, I guess . . . Smackl is transitioning to middle school. Lots of events in the schedule. Tomorrow they have what they call a "try on" . . . where any 5th grader can go over and try a couple of the instruments to see if they want to take band. Smackl has decided to try the trumpet, the viola, and the bassoon. I think he wants to try the bassoon just because it looks weird.

Also, Smackl is in the homestretch for his black belt. Final testing is in June. Lots more practices, some seminars, letters of recommendation and a community service project . . . I have to take him to get passport photos taken for his ID which gets issues out of Korea.

In other news, it seems like my kids did not do well with the time change . . . they are both pretty grumpy . . . I have resorted to telling them to quit talking to each other.

Also, just had some good friends leave for England on Sunday. They will be there for three years. Nikkers, we are headed to England the summer after next . . . pencil me in.

When I was about 12, maybe, I killed my parents' washer. One of my many chores was to do the laundry and in those days, the machine could run the whole cycle with the lid open. I saw my mom run it this way many times, so didn't think anything of it. So, I was running a load and heard the most gawd awful banging--the jug of fabric softener had fallen in, and I guess made the load terribly off-balance and the drum came loose and was banging around and making dents in all sides of the machine.

Killed it

All right . . . I'll give it a try . . . I'll throw in a full bottle of detergent with the next load . . . lid on the detergent, of course, we wouldn't want to have some sort of soapy flooding accident . . . nobody's close to a phlip, are they?

 Appliance abuse?

I have wanted to do this many times to my appliances. However, i was afraid I would hurt myself.

So much has happened today while I was trying to ski! Can't get any pics of the boys as I cannot catch up to them. They only meet up for lunch so we will fund it.

A dryer is easy to sabotage. If you have the manual ( if not look on line - at the library so it can't be traced back to you) look for the fuse. Pull it out.

Wa-lah! New appliances all around!

Okay psills - new vocabulary word for the day (for me lately anyway - I was used to the first definition)

"Munted" - formerly used in the sense of an over-inebriated state, like I got totally munted on wodka last night. New use: shattered, buggared (this word is okay here - Toyota even used it in a commercial  ), destroyed, irreparable, flattened, as in: That building is totally munted.

Mayor Bob Parker has now issued three levels of muntedness - the minor-munt, the medium-munt and the mega-munt, I would guess roughly corresponding with green stickered, yellow stickered or red stickered Our house has a minor munt. :) but we still need to remediate the muntedness before we leave it for da winter - may delay our departure :( #%*/@ red tape

Heading to Toronto this afternoon for a few days. We are, appropriately as I am Kween 'round here for while longer, attending this on Friday night:

I called the information number to let them know about my status as Monarch. Went something like, "Just in case you are not aware, I am the Psillyville Queen for the next fifty pages... . .I am assuming that this presents me with a free entrance pass, seating on the arena floor and perhaps an opportunity to be officially introduced to the thousands in the audience. Likely the knights and jousters will wish to sweep me up on their chargers at some point in the performance -- I will take the opportunity now to give my Royal Consent to this".

Annnnnnnnnnd: Silence.

"Hello?.... . ... .. Hello?"

When I first joined the psillies and wanted to hear the story of Jess and BE I read the thread from the start of their relationship. I really have to get a life (other than going to doctor's offices)! Hey, at least today's doctor's appointment is just for eyeglasses - no poking and prodding. Tomorrow is the follow-up with the Oncologist and Friday the Neurologist. Get new shots in my spine next week and the following week I see the cardiologist (where he will give me a drug to stimulate a stress test) and finally my PCP and then it looks like April is free and clear- YAY!!!!! Now Clark just needs a job. No word from the place he interviewed

I know I haven't been tested but self diagnosed that by avoiding gluten the past 7 months I feel so much better. I have followed how to eat and avoid gluten and have been good about hidden gluten in products, how to prep gluten-free and flours to use to bake gluten-free and have been very successful. It has been a learning curve but once you get the hang of it and more aware you realize how many places are gluten-free and contamination free practices etc. One thing I have read is how soy is like gluten. How would one know if soy affects you? I have eaten gluten free hershey reeses that say gluten free etc some other snacks say gluten free but contain soy and I dont get sick or soy yogurt no issues. Is there adifference in soys?

Check your multivitamin to see if it contains Thiamine Mononitrate, which is a "shelf-stable" form of thiamine that doesn't break down with exposure to light, heat, and time sitting on a shelf waiting to be sold.  Our bodies have difficulty absorbing and utilizing it.  Only 30% is absorbed and less can be utilized.   There's some question as to how well multivitamins dissolve in the digestive tract.  You can test this at home.  YouTube has instructional videos.   Talk to your nutritionist about adding a B Complex.  The B vitamins are water soluble, so any excess is easily excreted if not needed.  Consider adding additional Thiamine in the forms Benfotiamine or TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) or thiamine hydrochloride.   Thiamine is needed to help control electrolytes.  Without sufficient thiamine, the kidneys loose electrolytes easily resulting in low sodium and chloride.   We need extra thiamine when we're emotionally stressed, physically ill, and when we exercise regularly, are an athlete, or do physical labor outdoors, and in hot weather.  Your return to activities and athletics may have depleted your thiamine and other B vitamins to a point symptoms are appearing.   The deficiency symptoms of B vitamins overlap, and can be pretty vague, or easily written off as due to something else like being tired after a busy day.  The symptoms you listed are the same as early B vitamin deficiency symptoms, especially Thiamine.  Thiamine deficiency symptoms can appear in as little as three days.  I recognize the symptoms as those I had when I was deficient.  It can get much worse. "My symptoms are as follows: Dizziness, lightheaded, headaches (mostly sinus), jaw/neck pain, severe tinnitus, joint stiffness, fatigue, irregular heart rate, post exercise muscle fatigue and soreness, brain fog, insomnia.  Generally feeling unwell." I took a B 50 Complex twice a day and extra thiamine in the forms Benfotiamine and TTFD.  I currently take the Ex Plus supplement used in this study which shows B vitamins, especially Thiamine B 1, Riboflavin B2, Pyridoxine B 6, and B12 Cobalamine are very helpful.   A functional evaluation of anti-fatigue and exercise performance improvement following vitamin B complex supplementation in healthy humans, a randomized double-blind trial https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10542023/

I am taking a multivitamin which is pretty bolstered with B’s.  Additional Calcium, D3, Magnesium, Vit C, and Ubiquinol.  Started Creapure creatine monohydrate in June for athletic recovery and brain fog.  I have been working with a Nutritionist along side my Dr. since February.  My TTG IGA levels in January were 52.8 and my DGP IGA was >250 (I don’t know the exact number since it was so high).  All my other labs were normal except Sodium and Chloride which were low.  I have more labs coming up in Dec.  I make my own bread, and don’t eat a lot of processed gluten-free snacks.
    • knitty kitty
@Scatterbrain, What supplements are you taking? I agree that the problem may be nutritional deficiencies.  It's worth talking to a dietician or nutritionist about.   Did you get a Marsh score at your diagnosis?  Was your tTg IgA level very high?  These can indicate more intestinal damage and poorer absorption of nutrients.   Are you eating processed gluten free food stuffs?  Have you looked into the Autoimmune Protocol Diet?
    • knitty kitty
Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can make TMJ worse.  Vitamins like B12 , Thiamine B1, and Pyridoxine B6 help relieve pain.  Half of the patients in one study were deficient in these three vitamins in one study below. Malabsorption of vitamins and minerals is common in celiac disease.  It's important to eat healthy nutrient dense diets like the Autoimmune Protocol Diet, a Paleo diet that has similarities to the Mediterranean diet mentioned in one of the studies.   Is there a link between diet and painful temporomandibular disorders? A cross-sectional study https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12442269/   Nutritional Strategies for Chronic Craniofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders: Current Clinical and Preclinical Insights https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11397166/   Serum nutrient deficiencies in the patient with complex temporomandibular joint problems https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2446412/
