She'd be a natural, but in her role-playing you'd have to tell her it was the boiler  not the washer.

.....or DC (Devil Child, for those newer psillies who have not delved into the archives)

I wanna go to England wif you and see Nik!!!!!

kareng Grand Master

When I first joined the psillies and wanted to hear the story of Jess and BE I read the thread from the start of their relationship. I really have to get a life (other than going to doctor's offices)! Hey, at least today's doctor's appointment is just for eyeglasses - no poking and prodding. Tomorrow is the follow-up with the Oncologist and Friday the Neurologist. Get new shots in my spine next week and the following week I see the cardiologist (where he will give me a drug to stimulate a stress test) and finally my PCP and then it looks like April is free and clear- YAY!!!!! Now Clark just needs a job. No word from the place he interviewed

Good luck! Keep us posted! Hub paid our $5 to have Internet service here, so I hope you have something good to report!

You know they charge Hay-Nuss fees for suitcases over the weight limit . . . Lisa, I know you've lost a lot a weight but I'm guessing you're not under 50 pounds.

Are you sure you're not talking about my Tony?

Loey

Is Tony a 10 year old smarty-pants girl with curly blonde hair and glasses?

Happy St. Patty's to all my psillies!

Update: Went to the oncologist and got good news. I'm in the "watch and wait" stage of CLL and might be around 30 years to annoy everyone (especially Clark). I have to have some CT Scans to rule out anything that might have been missed but now I see her every 3 months to see how my white cel count is. If there are any drastic changes then I need to start talking about therapy and have the bone marrow aspiration and biopsy for a baseline. I really like her. She made a point of saying that she is never offended if a patient wants a second opinion and is happy to recommend a doctor if I want or I can look on my own. Tomorrow I see the Neurologist for his findings and next week I get the needles in my back again (this time using an Xray instead of trigger points) and then I have a stress test at the cardiologist induced by a drug as I can't handle a treadmill, etc right now.

Already had me cornbeef and cabbage at the Irish Deli. I bought 6 portions as a takeout treat instead of making my own.

I hope you all know how much I appreciate the support and kindness - can't imagine life before the forum (especially the psillies).

Love,

Loey wub.gifwub.gifwub.gifwub.gif

YAY!!!!

My CT scan showed small, benign lymph nodes. Small meaning less than 1 1/2 cm. Now at 6 weeks and still swollen, though. I have another appointment in 2 weeks.

I've gotta feeling that no matter how many tests, they're gonna tell me I'm fine <_<

I think it's starting to be about the same  Pretty soon you will have to buy a seat for your suitcase

Yay on the benign lymph nodes :D But boo on their continuing existence....

Ladies in a Sauna

THREE WOMEN, TWO YOUNGER
, AND ONE SENIOR CITIZEN, WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA.

SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND. THE YOUNG WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE BEEP STOPPED.

THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY. 'THAT WAS MY PAGER,' SHE SAID. I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM.

A FEW MINUTES LATER, A PHONE RANG. THE SECOND YOUNG WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR.

WHEN SHE FINISHED
TALKING
, SHE EXPLAINED,
"
THAT WAS MY MOBILE PHONE. I HAVE A MICROCHIP IN MY HAND.
"

THE OLDER WOMAN FELT VERY LOW -TECH.
BUT
NOT TO BE OUT DONE, SHE DECIDED SHE HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE. SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM.

SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER REAR END.

THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED AT HER.

THE OLDER WOMAN FINALLY SAID:
WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT.......I'M GETTING A

FAX!!

Good!!! . . . It was time for you to get some good news!! . . . Glad you like your oncologist.

My CT scan showed small, benign lymph nodes.

Good for you too . . . although, time for you to get rid of the swelling. Maybe things will improve now that the weather is finally turning around. Not sure why that would help, but it just seems like we all need an airing out and get some fresh air in our schools houses offices lungs.

Hi Jane: You may want to try the D3 I now take. I have reactions to fillers and many additives. Sports Research, it is based in the USA and I have had no bad reactions with this brand. The D3 does have coconut oil but it is non GMO, it is Gluten free, Soy free, Soybean free and Safflower oil free.  I have a cupboard full of supplements that did not agree with me -  I just keep trying and have finally settled on Sports Research. I take NAKA Women's Multi full spectrum, and have not felt sick after taking 2 capsules per day -  it is a Canadian company. I buy both from Amazon. I wish you well in your searching, I know how discouraging it all is. Florence.

highly unlikely  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING else has ever caused me these kinds of symptoms I have no problem with dates, they are a large part of my diet In fact, I eat a very high fiber, very high vegetable and bean diet and have for many years now. It's considered a whole foods plant based or plant forward diet (I do now eat some lean ground turkey but not much) I was off dairy for years but recently had to add back plain yogurt to meet calcium needs that I am not allowed to get from supplements (I have not had any problem with the yogurt)   I eat almost no processed foods. I don't eat out. almost everything I eat, I cook myself I am going to keep a food diary but to be honest, I already know that it's wheat products and also barley that are the problem, which is why I gradually stopped eating and buying them. When I was eating them, like back in early 2024, when I was in the middle of moving and ate out (always had bread or toast or rolls or a sub or pizza) I felt terrible but at that time was so busy and exhausted that I never stopped to think it was the food. Once I was in my new place, I continued to have bread from time to time and had such horrible joint pain that I was preparing for 2 total knee replacements as well as one hip! The surgery could not go forward as I was (and still am) actively losing calcium from my bones. That problem has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated   anyway over time I realized that I felt better when I stopped eating bread. Back at least 3 yrs ago I noticed that regular pasta made me sick so I switched to brown rice pasta and even though it costs a lot more, I really like it.   so gradually I just stopped buying and eating foods with gluten. I stopped getting raisin bran when I was constipated because it made me bloated and it didn't help the constipation any more (used to be a sure bet that it would in the past)   I made cookies and brownies using beans and rolled oats and dates and tahini and I LOVE them and have zero issues eating those I eat 1 or more cans of beans per day easily can eat a pound of broccoli - no problem! Brussels sprouts the same thing.   so yeh it's bread and related foods that are clearly the problem  there is zero doubt in my mind

Thank you for your post, @nanny marley It is interesting what you say about 'It's OK not to sleep'. Worrying about sleeping only makes it much harder to sleep.  One of my relatives is an insomniac and I am sure that is part of the problem.  Whereas I once had a neighbour who, if she couldn't sleep, would simply get up again, make a cup of tea, read, do a sudoku or some other small task, and then go back to bed when she felt sleepy again.  I can't think it did her any harm - she lived  well into her nineties. Last week I decided to try a Floradix Magnesium supplement which seems to be helping me to sleep better.  It is a liquid magnesium supplement, so easy to take.  It is gluten free (unlike the Floradix iron supplement).  Might be worth a try.

It could be a fructan intolerance? How do you do with dates?  https://www.dietvsdisease.org/sorry-your-gluten-sensitivity-is-actually-a-fructan-intolerance/

Thank’s for addressing the issue of mushrooms.  I was under the impression that only wild mushrooms were gluten-free.  Have been avoiding cultivated mushrooms for years. Also, the issue of smoked food was informative.  In France last year, where there is hardly any prepared take-out food that is gluten-free, I tried smoked chicken.  Major mistake!
