Crystal Soy Sauce...gluten-free?

Does anyone know if Crystal soy sauce is gluten-free? This is from Baumer Foods. We are currently away from home and staying with relatives for the weekend. I've looked on their website and didn't find anything. I've also forgot what mainline brand is gluten-free. We are in a small town with a little grocery store (no health food store).

Does anyone know if Crystal soy sauce is gluten-free? This is from Baumer Foods. We are currently away from home and staying with relatives for the weekend. La Choy is gluten free--the ingredients do not list wheat. What ingredients does Crystal soy sauce have?

Note, not all San-J is gluten free. Make sure you find the one that says wheat free. It has the silver labelling, and says "Organic Tamari" - Wheat Free Soy Sauce

Here are the ingredients for the Crystal soy sauce

Hydrolyzed soybean and corn protein,

Water,

Corn Syrup,

Salt,

Caramel color

Since we are away from home I'm having to make some different adjustments. (I'm sure everyone can relate to that!) Of course i have the safe food at home. ;) I'll probably just go to the store and get some La Choy.

i would not trust the hydrolyzed soy and corn proteins those migth have wheat in them, i would go to the store and buy la choy just to be safe, you would not want to get sick while away from home.

Hydrolized soy and corn proteins absolutely do not have wheat, rye or barley. They have corn or soy. The problem with soy sauce is wheat and when there's wheat it's VERY clearly listed since it's usually the second ingredient. If it doesn't say wheat, it's safe.

I thought hydrolyzed meant liquified? That shouldn't turn it into wheat...

      What you’re describing is actually very common, and unfortunately the timing of the biopsy likely explains the confusion. Yes, it is absolutely possible for the small intestine to heal enough in three months on a strict gluten-free diet to produce a normal or near-normal biopsy, especially when damage was mild to begin with. In contrast, celiac antibodies can stay elevated for many months or even years after gluten removal, so persistently high antibody levels alongside the celiac genes and clear nutrient deficiencies strongly point to celiac disease, even if you don’t feel symptoms. Many people with celiac are asymptomatic but still develop iron and vitamin deficiencies and silent intestinal damage. The lack of immediate symptoms makes it harder emotionally, but it doesn’t mean gluten isn’t harming you. Most specialists would consider this a case of celiac disease with a false-negative biopsy due to early healing rather than “something else,” and staying consistently gluten-free is what protects you long-term—even when your body doesn’t protest right away.

      Yes, I meant if you had celiac disease but went gluten-free before screening, your results would end up false-negative. As @trents mentioned, this can also happen when a total IGA test isn't done.

      I found at Disney springs and Disney they have specialist that when told about dietary restrictions they come and talk to you ,explain cross contamination measures tsken and work with you on choices. Its the one place I dont worry once I've explained I have celiac disease.  Thier gluten free options are awesome.

      Have you tried Pure Encapsulations supplements? This is a brand my doctor recommends for me. I have no issues with this brand.
