anyone have any experience wherein they've used a product with maltrodextrin and it was not gluten-free?

I've seen a couple of products with maltodextrin made from wheat but in the U.S. that has to be clearly marked.

This came up as a result of wanting to purchase the Rite Aid brand of Benefiber. It appears to be the same as the old Benefiber formula; but has maltodextrin. I wasn't certain if they had to declare wheat as the base of the maltrodextrin as it's really not a food product.

I have had a couple of bad experiences. With meat products that said there was maltodextrin in it.

I know they are 'supposed" to label....but I don't beleive its as strict as we would like it to be. I got sick...

Thats just my experience.

So I would clearly get an answer from the manufacturer about their source.

Benefiber might not be required to list the source. I don't know.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
