I bought some today at Target and I figured oh great its in a bag, easier to carry. I did notice that the bag said natural ingerdients but it didnt say what so I called.

It looks a bit strange but when I called I was told the natural ingredients were ground corn cob so it IS safe

Good to know, Bev :)

I use Scoop Away--I verified that gluten-free by phone, also.

Hi Patti!

Happy Thanksgiving! What's on the menu? :D

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Beverly! :D Has it been a year already? I remember last year, when I hadn't been a member long, and I was just getting to know you and everyone--memories  What a year--eh?

We're just having the kids and my son's girlfriend. I'm doing a big, gluten-free spread :P I actually baked the bread for the dressing yesterday.

What do you have on tap for the big day? B)

Yum!!!!! My MIL makes quite a gluten-free feast (she's so good) and I am making French-Canadian meat stuffing, thinking about roasted chestnut stuffing (never made it, sounds intiguing) and pumpkin cheesecake. Mmmmm cheesecake!

I know, last year was my first gluten free Thanksgiving. :D

Wow... people are going to read this an=d go "how the heck did they go from cat litter to pumpkin cheesecake????????"

 I know--we have a tendency to do that around here!

The roasted chestnut stuffing sounds incredible--enjoy :D

I understood the pumpkin cheescake once we hit dinner, but the jump form cat litter to food was pretty fast for me.... Now that y'all brought it up, I've gotta go read that label now. Never thought about it before, but it does throw a lot of dust. I make my husband deal with the dry food, but I deal with the box.

Yet another source of possible glutening. :o

I know, it's crazy the things we have to watch for, but there is one litter (I think it's called Schweat) that is made from wheat. I cringe everytime I see it in the store!

Hi guys..

yep we do bounce around here...litter to lunch...not as big a stretch as I seen on here.

lordy I remember last year..my stuffing was so gross.....jim had a good one for company..

patty saw you posted gfp bread mix. went to get today and nada on the shelf at the health food store.

so got the lite while rice bread..was that the one people said was good for stuffing. if i hadn't put onions, celery, sausage in mine..you would have thought it was mashed potatos...so sad..

got the good eatz flour and the shorting you said patty and libby pumpkin so hope to do a pumpkin pie..we'll see remember i don't cook ...

so patty the scoppe away is good. that's what i use..whew..

since Jim does the grocery shopping, i get the big plastic container and use it for potting soil in the summer and keep some in basement to pot plants in winter.

so now...litter, lunch, and potting soil..:)

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
