HI, I've been looking on line for a gluten-free chicken noodle soup. My daughter and I have been sick and we both would greatly enjoy some.

Anyone have any good ones to share?

Nicole

Try some Swanson's Chicken Broth (not Organic) with some rice noodles, or rice. I hope that you both feel better soon.

We make chicken noodle soup using tinkyada pasta, boulion cubes, seasoning, and cut up cooked chicken. Turns out gret and my daugher loves it.

I don't know if there is a SAFEWAY store near you, but there safeway brand CHICKEN AND RICE IS good and is gl;uten free as I have called safeway and asked and they sent me a list of things. It will get easier and I hope you both feel better soon

You will be calling alot of different stores probably to see what things are good and not. It's all good.

I use Pacific Chicken Broth (read the container, some are not gluten-free), Tinkyada pasta, and garlic and onion powder. Cook the pasta first and add it to the soup.

Hope you feel better soon!

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
