Is Proactiv Solution Skin Care Gluten Free?

I use the cleanser, toner, mask and am thinking about the green tea lotion. Does anyone else use these products and know if they are safe? I pulled the product ingredient listings and none of them appear to be gluten containing, but I am not a chemist and am just not sure.,....

I use the Proactiv system, and their products are gluten-free according to their handout that comes with it when you buy the system. But, I only use the three products that come in the pack (and the mask that came with it, too), so I'm not sure about the other products, but I would think they would be gluten-free, too. You could always call them about the other products, if you're unsure, but I would bet they are gluten-free, too, but I don't want to say something that's incorrect.

Does anyone know if Proactiv is still gluten free? I have been using them for years. But I am now starting to be careful with cosmetics and I have to go buy a cleanser tonic lotion package. On their website this is what they say:

Are the products Gluten-free?

In accordance with the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA), Gluten is listed as Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Gluten. This ingredient is not found in any Proactiv

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
