What a great show last night. So many singers I haven't seen in a long time. They all sound great and everyone looked like they were having fun. Its great that AI is a show enjoyed by people of all ages. There aren't many shows you can watch with your kids and you both enjoy it. I wish it wouldn't end but it did along with everything else. :angry: :angry:

I'm glad Jordin won ;) Yeah Jordin. Well nice to have met all those who contributed to this thread, its been fun. Have a nice long weekend and blueeyedmanda remember the baby can't stay. hehe Give her a kiss for me.

Thanks Gail,

It was hard saying good bye to the baby, I was off to a dentist appointment and normally I would dread it but I got my braces off today! I got them when I was 22. I wanted to fix a couple crooked teeth. Boy am I happy I did. It feels great without them too. :):):)

So, what shows do all of you watch regularly (if any)? We watch House and that's about it now that Idol is over.

Well, we Canucks are lucky, because CANADIAN Idol starts next Tuesday! The winner last season, Eva Avila, is amazing. Remember her name! :)

Regularly, Grey's Anatomy and lately House. Those are about the only two...other than that I watch weird things like World Series of Poker, Deadliest Catch and Ghost Hunters. :lol:

Ooohhhh... We should start another House thread. This time we should keep it going though. It's such a great show. We just started watching a few months ago. LOVE IT!!! We're also currently watching season 1 on DVD and catching up on old ones on USA. Ha. How many seasons are there?

I'm not sure how many...I know a few months ago my friend and I went on a cruise and she brought some DVDs--not sure which season...I watched a few episodes then. She offered to send me another season to watch...but I said no. (I think I'll just change my mind and ask her to let me borrow them, lol).

It comes on a couple of times a week here at 8:00 (so I think I'm not seeing the current season), so I started watching cuz there wasn't much else on. Kind of got hooked cuz my medical journey has been a weird ride and the show reminds me of that. :P:lol:

We watch the Deadliest Catch, Little People Big World, and John loves Smallville, I cannot stand shows like that so I just do other stuff.

I tried watching the show So you think you can dance and turned it off after 5 min. I'm not a big t.v. person although I like watching it, there are few shows that hold my interest. I like House though, but don't always get the chance to watch it.

I like the sit coms because they're only a half hour and I'm always looking for a laugh.

Mandy my sister just got her braces off and she's 45. Its never to late. She's eating all the foods she missed eating for two years. She likes gummy worms and ate them for a week .. yuck.

Thanks Everyone!! I have to say it is so nice to have them off too. Semi-uncomfortable process of taking them off but well worth it. I am so pleased at how my teeth look now.

John and I love friends and Sex and the City. We actually have the DVD sets to both.

Argh... Well, House's season finale is Tuesday, so I guess we can't start a new thread about House. I don't really watch anything else. At least not this time of the year. Everything I watch is ending or over for the year. :(

      Yes, it is likely your villi healed, but if you are exposed to gluten regularly again the damage will likely come back and cause some potentially serious health issues.

      I have been on a strict Celiac diet for 20 years and I tried a deep fried breaded cheese stick that I have been craving for years and no symptoms, then I tried a deep fried breaded fish sandwich and also no problems. I am 74 years old and wondering if after all these years the villa has healed, is that possible?

Some people with non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) or even celiac disease report an initial ‘honeymoon phase’ during a gluten challenge, where symptoms temporarily improve before worsening again. This could be due to your body adjusting or even a temporary immune modulation. Since you’re only 2.5 weeks into the challenge, it’s possible more symptoms could reappear if you continue. Celiac testing (bloodwork and endoscopy) is most accurate after a full 6 weeks of gluten, so sticking with it for now is wise. That said, your joint/tendon issues (especially the Achilles stiffness) are interesting—they can be linked to celiac disease...
