Wouldn't it be really cool if the Food Network would launch a new show on gluten free cooking? I see the advert online here on the forum for the 'Lovin from the Oven - gluten free cooking show' - is that only visible via the web?

I think it would be awesome, i have thought about that many times. They could also incorporate meals with other items that people are intolerant to.

I would settle for an "allergy" week where all of their regular shows picked a different allergy/intolerance each day. Monday could be lactose, Tuesday gluten, etc.

Can I volunteer to be the host? LOL :D My greatest dream has always been to be on Food TV. Oh well...gotta at least dream big! LOL :D

I have seen Lovin from the Oven advertised also, but have not been able find it on any of my channels. If any one knows where I might be able to find it I have directv. Thank you, Grump

Maybe we all can e-mail a network with a show suggestion (cooking for those w/ food intolerances, etc). The more we let people know how many of us are out there, the more "mainstream" gluten free will become!!! I tried to find a "contact us" section on Food TV, but there is no way to actually contact them (go figure!). I did find one for Discovery Health (they have Get Fresh With Sara Snow -- organic cooking). Here's the link for Discovery Health:

Power of the pen (hmmm, or computer!).

I tend to agree with RMJ. Your doc took the reasonable and practical approach to diagnosis. All things considered, it was the right way to go. However, if you have first degree relatives that show signs of possible celiac disease, urge them to get formally tested before they start the gluten free diet.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you
