I got the call from the clinic this morning with my daughter's lab work. They said the normal range for IgA is 24-100 and that her value was 23. They said the test was inconclusive, but we're going to assume it's possitive. HELP!! What does that mean?!?! The woman was very quick and said she'd request a pedi GI consult and to follow up with Ali's regular pediatrician next week. I'm totally confused now!

i'd wait and talk to the doctor----i think that nurse gave you incorrect information. 24-100 is most likely the total IgA serum range. a score of 23 would mean that your daughter was slightly low, but not deficient. the nurse doesn't seem to have given you any scores for any kind of celiac test, so i'm not sure what she is basing her info on.

Congrats! Can you share the recipe? We just picked up a bread maker from an estate sale and are experimenting.
