Gluten Free Snacks?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this and am having trouble finding snacks that are gluten free and also easy to carry in my back pack. I'm looking for high protein, high fiber snacks that don't require tupperware. I used to eat Luna bars and those have upwards of 13 grams of protein, are tasty and have lots of fiber. Can I still eat Luna or Balance bars? If not, what's a healthy alternative?

Thanks in advance!

Yep... both of them contain gluten. However, Lara bars are safe and are relatively high fiber and protein.

As far as high fiber/high protein snacks, when you look at the calorie to fiber ratio, you will always get more bang for your buck to eat fresh fruits and veggies. Apples/Carrots with peanut butter, raisins, almonds, salads, trail mix (dried cherries, raisins, almonds, and walnuts), string cheese, and fruit salad work for me. When I am on the go, I throw together a bag of mixed nuts and dried fruit, a Jif-to-go peanut butter container with an apple and a baggie of carrots, and any fresh fruit lying around my room.
