Rice Gluten?

So I'm looking for a gluten-free dog food and I heard Nutro was gluten free, but the 3rd ingredient is Rice Gluten, is that safe??

Not that I will be eating it, but she licks my face a lot and it breaks my heart to make her stop.

If anyone knows I really appreciate the help.

Yes, rice gluten is safe for us :)

Rice gluten, and corn gluten, are the proteins of those grains. They are not an issue for celiacs, unless you have a secondary intolerance to rice or corn.

If I recall correctly, almost all Nutro products are gluten free, but there are a couple of formulas with oats. I know the dry chicken (pale green bag) has oats in it. No Nutro product contains wheat or rye.

Pet food is my business. I have posted a few times before on the subject of gluten free pet food. Search for "cat food" or "dog food" on the board, or go plowing through all of my posts.

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
