Does anyone have a list of gluten-free restaurants in Ohio? I thought I heard of a Pizza place, but can't remember which one.

Donatos Pizza makes a No Dough Pizza that is gluten-free.

Here is a list of places we frequent in Columbus, Ohio that have gluten-free menus:

Skyline Chili is also gluten-free, but Gold Star is not.

You can order the chili on a potato instead of the pasta, or you can bring your own gluten-free pasta. Be sure they make it away from the coney prep area to avoid crumbs. You can also order it on the french fries ... the fries are the only thing they make in their fryer.

In Cleveland, you can eat at Mitchell's Fish Market, Flemings Steakhouse, Carrabbas, PF Chang's, Abuelo's, Chili's, Macaroni Grill.

I know there is a Tommy's Pizza in Dublin and also one close to campus. Not sure if this was the Tommy's that sent the email or not.

If you are familiar with the Akron/Canton area there are several restaurants that have gluten free menu's. Capone's offers gluten free pizza's and italian fare. Gregory's, Manchu cafe, Don Pablo's, Outback steakhouse, Cheeseburger in paradise, Carraba's, and I know Bravo italian restaurant offers gluten free pasta's etc. but they do not have an official menu...just need to speak with the chef when you arrive they are pretty helpful. Hope this list helps if I think of any more I will let you know!

I forgot about the best one....Kathy's creations which is a gluten free bakery in Alliance! Some of the best goodies!

I used to live up by Akron and Kathy's cookies are the BEST! Oh, just a note on Abuelos....The last time my husband and I ate there we were told by the manager that NOTHING is safe. I had been under the impression that there were safe choices there, he even went so far as to say that the chips and salsa wern't safe. We emailed their coroprate site and never received a response so they are off our list of places to eat out which is really a bummer because it was one of my favorites!

Oh if anyone has anymore info on the gluten-free pizza places can you post it on here (either Akron or Columbus). My DH and I are in Columbus every other weekend and my dad lives by Akron so it would be cool to try that one too when we go up to visit!

Hey I noticed you are from Canal Fulton. There is Pizzanello's in Alliance that has an entire menu of gluten-free food. Not just burgers and steaks. Spagetti and Pizza!!! Meatball's that are made by someone besides me! I haven't had an opportunity to go there yet. My folks live near there. I saw there sign offered gluten-free food and I called for the information. The owner is cool. Give it a try and let me know how you like it.

I live near Youngstown Ohio, and i'm new to a gluten free diet, I have DH, just recently diagnosed in August. My doctor gave me an article about Kathy's creations in Alliance, I took a ride to a health food store near me, they had about 3 aisles of gluten free products and 2 freezers full of gluten free items, I bought the bread ( which i miss the most) some crackers and coconut cookies all gluten free. They do sell pizza dough frozen or packages of mixes that you can make your own.

Will all outback resturants serve gluten free? Do you just ask or should i call ahead? If anyone knows of resturants near me that will serve gluten free, please let me know, thanks, Lori

Ate at Olive garden in canton Oio. Ordered from the "gluten-free menu".. Sick as a dog! Not only that, but it was lunchtime and I had to order dinner, DD lunch was 8.95 -my lunch was 15.95. Not going back.

I live 2 minutes from this place.................the Pizza is great (and they have a variety of toppings...including a taco pizza...and all their spices and sauces are gluten free already), and they do these buffet's often. There are support group members there too. They are also really good about watching cross contamination...they have a seperate fryer for wings (which is one thing I miss ordering...GREATLY), potato skins, etc. They even use different trays for the pizza. I would definitely recommend going...it's nice to eat out and not worry about what touched what.

Revolution Pizza on 305 in Wickliffe/Willowick is great (and right off Rt. 2). I eat there a lot (not just because it's really close to me). They will be adding a fryer soon and desserts(pies too). Their pizza is the most realistic tasting gluten-free pizza I have ever had (the texture is is like real pizza too, VERY hard to come by in my experiences). I guarantee non-gluten free folk wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The burgers good too, but that's easy to make at home, although if you're on the go, it's very convenient. They also have ribs and chicken. Check the website periodically since they are in the process of updating the gluten-free menu.

When I was on the westside this weekend I got Tommy's Pizza and Chicken in Strongsville. I've had reactions twice after eating there, anyone else? (I'm not necessarily saying it was because of Tommy's, but everything else I ate that day was supposed to be gluten-free and they have that not 100% guaranteed sticker on the box).

In the Canton area, Quaker Steak and Lube has a gluten free menu, but be prepared to be extremely clear about stuff like no croutons, no pita, etc. The manager was very clear when he told me that.

Also, the fries have a coating that makes them not gluten-free. And if you want something fried, you have to ask them to use the wing fryer.

When I called Olive Garden, they told me that they offer gluten free pasta but that they will not guarantee any hint of avoidance of cross contamination. (I couldn't get them to clearly say if they will or won't use clean water in a clean pan to cook gluten-free pasta.)

Mustard Seed Cafe in Akron has a gluten-free menu and does go out of their way to try to not cross contaminate. DH likes eating there, and the menu changes frequently.

Altieri's pizza in Stow, OH has gluten free pizza, subs, pasta, etc Everything I have tried is great. They are now on my speed dial both at home and cell.

Wow! When did Altieri's start doing this? I am always curious as to why resteraunts start doing gluten free. My in laws live in stow so we are up there quite a bit.

In Dayton, Sinfully Gluten Free is a pizza place and has baked goods as well as other menu items. The whole restaurant is gluten-free and the pizza is some of the best I've ever had...
