Are My Problems Celiac

I have been searching for answers to my problems for years. I am 32 and have had tons of symptoms that no doctor can diagnose. I have had gut problems from 3 years old until now. They always seemed to come and go in severity but have never really ever cleared up, just different levels of severity. I constantly have gas coming out both ends. lots of symptoms Dr.'s have classified as IBS. Here are a list of symptom I have. cutting pains in chest, heartburn, acid reflux, stomach pain and gas, abdominal pains, bloody stools, swollen anus, headaches, sinus pressure without congestion, sinus headaches, migraines, severe scalp infections (folliculitis that is not cured with traditional antibiotics) large cysts on scalp, weight gain due to having to always eat because my stomach hurts when empty, less frequently I have certain joints in my fingers that slightly flair up and are painful, I have had muscles that are sore for a week or so, for no reason and I have a problem in the morning that is hard to describe other than feeling like I got hit by a truck. It is kind of like my head is foggy and hurts with kinda of a sick feeling in my head and sinuses. My gut area around to my back feels like for a lack of better words ROTTEN. I feel like my guts are rotting inside. This usually goes away after a half hour or so of waking up. Oh yeah I also have non-stop hissing in my ears "they" call tinitus but seems to get worse while my symptom get worse. I don't have any genetic history (that I know of) of celiacs but I am at a loss of what's wrong. have seen many a doctor with no luck. Most doctors dismiss my symptoms and I can't remember the last time I felt good. Oh yeah one more thing. I am usually tired or lacking energy. I also seem to be depressed. I think mostly because I don't know whats wrong. I can remember, even as a kid, wanting a doctor to tell me something is wrong with me even if it was something bad so I could know how to deal. Does any of this sound like a gluten problem??? Any help would be great

Oh yeah one more thing. I did do a 100% white rice diet for 1 1/2 weeks to see if I was allergic to any food but I saw no change and couldn't stand rice any longer.

It wouldn't hurt to get tested for celiac disease while you are still eating gluten.

You may also want to look into Lyme Disease -- check out this thread. Open Original Shared Link

If it's not celiac disease or Lyme, keep looking, feeling bad like this is NOT normal! I put up with others thinking I was a hypochondriac for way too many years. Hang in there.

You've done an excellent job of meticulously tracking the rash's unpredictable behavior, from its symmetrical spread and stubborn scabbing to the potential triggers you've identified, like the asthma medication and dietary changes. It's particularly telling that the rash seems to flare with wheat consumption, even though your initial blood test was negative—as you've noted, being off wheat before a test can sometimes lead to a false negative, and your description of the other symptoms—joint pain, brain fog, stomach issues—is very compelling. The symmetry of the rash is a crucial detail that often points toward an internal cause, such as an autoimmune response or a systemic reaction, rather than just an external irritant like a plant or mites. I hope your doctor tomorrow takes the time to listen carefully to all of this evidence you've gathered and works with you to find some real answers and effective relief. Don't be discouraged if the rash fluctuates; your detailed history is the most valuable tool you have for getting an accurate diagnosis.

In this case the beer is excellent, but for those who are super sensitive it is likely better to go the full gluten-free beer route. Lakefront Brewery (another sponsor!) has good gluten-free beer made without any gluten ingredients.

Welcome to the forum, @catsrlife! Celiac disease can be diagnosed without committing to a full-blown "gluten challenge" if you get a skin biopsy done during an active outbreak of dermatitis herpetiformis, assuming that is what is causing the rash. There is no other known cause for dermatitis herpetiformis so it is definitive for celiac disease. You would need to find a dermatologist who is familiar with doing the biopsy correctly, however. The samples need to be taken next to the pustules, not on them . . . a mistake many dermatologists make when biopsying for dermatitis herpetiformis.

You state in an earlier post that you don't have celiac disease. Here in this post you state you will "be doing another test". What will this test be looking for? What kind of celiac disease testing have you had done? If you have used a Entero Labs it sounds like you have had stool testing done for celiac disease which is not widely accepted as a valid celiac disease diagnostic testing method. Have you had blood antibody testing for celiac disease done and do you realize that for antibody testing to be valid you must have been eating generous amounts of gluten for a period of weeks/months?

No, I've not been diagnosed as celiac.  Despite Entero Labs being relocated to Switzerland/Greece, I'll be doing another test. After eating wheat products in Greece for 4 weeks, there wasn't any reaction.  However, avoiding it here in the states.   Thanks everyone for your responses.
