helllo! so glad i found this site on google.

my doc recently diagnosed me after doing a simple bloodtest and it came up that i had an egg white allergy and a gluten allergy. i am constipated often and feel sooo bloated at times. do you think that this has something to do with the allergy?

if so, how long until i de-bloat and you think i am regularly able to go to the bathroom.

thanks for your help! :D

I am newly diagnosed too and confused about almost everything.....Can any of the "pro's" tell me if A-1 sauce is safe...it seems like the ingrediants are ok but I am almost afraid to stray form the basics...meat, veggies and potatoes.

I think if you have an allergy to gluten and egg white, that your symptoms should improve relatively soon after you eliminate them from your diet. Be sure to fully eliminate them.

You might post your test results here, that helps us know what you were tested for. Also post the normal ranges given on the results.

If you have more than a gluten allergy, and actually have celiac, the recovery process may be very much longer. Constipation is a common symptom for about 20% of celiacs. I have the problem too. It is better after 6 months Gluten-free Casein-free and 3 months soy free, but not totally cleared up. Vitamin C powder with magnesium have really helped to keep me able to go every day.

Bloating is still an issue for me.

With celiac, we have to be patient with the healing process because it takes the intestines 1-2 years to heal.

It really varies. Some people seem to get immediately better and for some is it slower.

If you continue to have problems, you might try eliminating dairy. That commonly binds folks up.

mftnchn, what is the name of the supplement you use and where did you find it? I was taking something I liked that had magnesium, some calcium, and Vitamins C & D. Then without any difference in the product that I can see, one day I noticed they no longer said it was soy free and there was soy lecithin in the glaze. But the web site hasn't been changed and still says soyfree, at least the last I checked. Grrr ... so I went to the store and grabbed the one magnesium supplement I could find that said it was free of everything I have to avoid (and called the manufacturer to confirm this). I only first took it last night, so I don't know if it will work as well as the other.

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
