Yeah, I keep checking every day to see if there is a new website, lol.

Is there a new color, or did I miss something??

Thanks for posting the news...I hadn't seen that one yet.

No new color...she's referring to my avatar caption, lol.

The B12 spray sounds great...I'm going to ask my doctor about them...I'm giving myself B12 shots (or supposed to be, lol), but I'm having a HARD time giving them to myself and it's such a hassle to go in to get the shots. I was doing sublingual B12, but my doctor thought that wasn't good enough so I'm on the shots.

This does sound much better than shots. It is hard to do them regularly to yourself. Hope it works for you.

 That is shocking......and aweing (? ).... very hard to believe the bright orange would look "nice".

It goes back to not judging a color by the way it looks in the jar, you never know what it's going to look like on. I guess I should be brave and finally try out B & B, but I think with that the high pigmentation is more of an issue than its color.

Did you guys check out the news, looks like it was posted just today:

That is encouraging about the new color. You are right Julie, we can't always judge by how it looks in the jar. I have a few I haven't tried yet, because I didn't like the looks of it. I guess I ought to give them a shot.

Did you notice the statement about the new jars?

I wondered why they weren't using the sifter tops that close. The laura Marcier jars all have sifters that close. Now I may have to wait to order my full sizes when they come out with the new jars.

Does anyone us the natural blush?

dlp252 Apprentice

I haven't tried natural yet...I've been wondering about it, but the color swatch on the website is kind of grey, lol. I'm hoping the new website will have better swatches.

I like natural. It's more of a complexion enhancer than an actual color. I think it would be too light for you guys though. (It's basically just a very subtle shimmer).

Donna...what's wrong with you!? You mean, you don't LIKE inflicting pain upon yourself! LOL! I understand, I don't like doing the shots either...but I do get an "A" for effort from my Dr.:P He was shocked I'm still doing them! LOL!

About natural, yea, it does look really gray. I don't like sparkly things all over my face. I like sparkles in eye shadow, but not all over my face. I guess I'm weird like that. B)

I really need to organize my train case, donna are you free this weekend lol. I have many colors that i have not even opened yet. Colors that i have opened but never used. I dont even have all the eye shadows together, blushes together and it is driving me nuts.

Hubby said he is willing to buy me a train case that has the wheels lmao

I am glad I am not the only one. I ordered the natural blush, because so many people were raving about it on the EM board. I was really disappointed with it. It sure won't work as a blush for me.

I agree about sparkles on the face - not for me.

How about waffle cone? I think some on here have liked it. I have not ordered that yet.

Paula, I wonder if they have one with wheels and a motor?

My husband looked at me and my collection the other day and asked "how is it possible you have so many little containers of stuff, and how is it possible you actually use a little bit out of each one of those?" I told him it was even more unbelievable that I actually need more. LOL

I am beginning to look like a mad chemist.

Horrors of Horrors...I had to leave the house without eye makeup today! :o It's true. Something happened to one of my eyes during the night I guess...woke up feeling like some big gob of something was in there, but there isn't anything there. It's still red and watery and still feels like something is there. I figured since it would all just wash off anyway there wasn't any sense in wasting my precious Ginger Peach, lol.

You know, it isn't really even so much the pain, although that is certainly not a favorite thing of mine, lol, but it's more that I think I'm going to kill myself with it.

 !!!! I have just one thing to say...SPREADSHEET!

Yeah, I like waffle cone...I probably don't love it as much as some do, and definitely doesn't replace my favorites of Pink Ribbon and Nick Nack, but I do like it.

Paula, I wonder if they have one with wheels and a motor?

 !!! Yeah, motorized wheeled train case. Heck, I've been thinking I should have got the Sephora one after all...I thought it was so HUGE when I looked at it again, but sheesh, these full sized containers are huge and I had to do major reorganization to get half of them to fit in. Wouldn't be so bad if I could decide on only ONE or TWO foundation colors, but I've got full sized containers of 3 so far and I'm going to order another one on my next order.

I told him it was even more unbelievable that I actually need more. LOL

Check out the news on the EM site! The new site will soft launch on 4/25!

I see a new EM order in my future. :)

I was short on time this morning, and had to make a decision on which I was going to do - fix my hair or put on EM. Guess which one I chose? I'll give you two hints - smokey pink eye shadow and a pony tail. :)

Yeah, it's been all day and it still feels like something is in there...my eye is actually really glassy, and almost feels like there is a film over it...NOT very attractive with ANY of my shades of eye shadow.

i used the walkie talkie today as a blush and shadow. It is very very pretty. I think i will have to get an big size of it when they make it a full size lol.

Hello everyone! I definitely wasn't expecting to find mineral makeup on a gluten-free site! I've been using minerals for several years now. I have some EM, but never got hooked on them.

If you want to explore more minerals or have fun in a different mineral forum, check out Open Original Shared Link

There are about a zillion mineral makeup brands out there. WAY too many temptations!

I just got it with my order. I am anxious to try it.

Welcome to our mineral thread. I would have checked it out, but it requires registration first, so I will pass, but thank you anyway.

I got my order last evening. I did get the special with it this time, thank goodness.

I got a personal custom kit. Those full size containers are really large lol. I was also surprised that the blushes and concealers came in the same large size as the foundation. I don't know why, but I was expecting those to be somewhat smaller. I now have enough concealer to last me a few years lol.

I also got the long handled kabuki, an extra baby kabuki and an extra flat top. The baby kabuki looks just like my original baby kabuki but is just slightly smaller in brush length. The flat top was just the same as my older one. I may order another set of the nice brushes just in case they decide to change them. I ordered this set for travel.

I ordered the pink ribbon. That looks very pretty. It looked so light on the website, that I had never ordered it before.

I haven't tried the new blush colors yet. I will be playing with them today.

confusedks Enthusiast

So you know how we were all getting different brushes? Well, I emailed EM customer services and explained the situation, and they asked for my invoice number from the order with the crummy brush.

Apparently I ordered the old kabuki (the crummy one!!) and their new brushes are the nice ones.

So, has anyone recently ordered a brush from them that is yucky? Or did they really change their brushes?

The good news is they offered to send me a free kabuki! At least they have great customer service. :)

I now have 14 foundations! :o

The new ones are so much softer and nicer. I hated the first one i ever got. I even threw it away this week after i got 2 new ones lol. I only used the old one once. I would let them send you a new one. That reminds me i need to email them and see what they are going to do about the refund they owe me, Im going to ask just for a sample kit for free lol

I am afraid to count how many i have. Maybe i should go count how many i have of everything lol.

I have 3 that i have not even opened that i got last week lol

im too in love with my buttered tan cause it is an perfect match

The buttered tan doesn't work for me. Fair is the closest to my neck color, but my face is so red it just looks too weird to change it that much. I think multi-tasking is going to be the best choice, although most of the others can be used if done lightly. Now I just have to figure out the formula I like best. The mattes are pretty drying, and my skin is dry enough already.

That's a lot of foundation Jess

I like Original Glo for dry skin (not that I have dry skin, I have more combination skin), but the other formulations dried me out.

Donna!! I missed this about your eye. I am so sorry :( Hope it's better, but since you haven't been around I am worried that might not be the case....

Thanks Kassandra for the latest on the brushes, i need to email them because I definitely got a crummy brush with my eye color kit.

Update: They are sending me a free brush...baby kabuki. They do have great customer service...I will give them that!

Morning everyone! I took a break from computers this weekend...didn't even turn my computer at home on once the entire weekend.

Hello everyone! I definitely wasn't expecting to find mineral makeup on a gluten-free site! I've been using minerals for several years now. I have some EM, but never got hooked on them.

Hello and welcome! Yeah, many of us have tried other brands...I started breaking out with BE, so was happy to find EM, which doesn't seem to.

I hope your eye is better today.

..

So, has anyone recently ordered a brush from them that is yucky? Or did they really change their brushes?

Yes, it's better...so far no stye, but it still feels irritated a little.

None of the recent brushes I've received have been bad or yucky...they're all good. :)

I now have 14 foundations! :o

I fear a spreadsheet is in my future...

:o:lol:  I think you MAY have more than me...must check my spreadsheet....okay, no, I have 19 if you don't count the different formulations of the same color, lol...27 if you do. BUT, I only have 3 in full sized containers...about to get the 4th though.:ph34r:

Donna!! I missed this about your eye. I am so sorry :( Hope it's better, but since you haven't been around I am worried that might not be the case....

Eye is better, but was still bad on Saturday. AND, my stupid neck and shoulders were excrutiatingly painful so I decided to NOT get on the computer at home (where my setup is not ergonomically correct, lol). When I was sick, I coughed so hard that I strained a muscle in my chest and head, and apparently threw something out in my left shoulder blade area. If it's not one thing it's another.

I agree, it so often overlooked! I live in the UK and I have often wondered why doctors are so reluctant to at least exclude it - my thoughts are perhaps the particular tests are expensive for the NHS, so therefore saved for people with 'obvious' symptoms.  I was diagnosed in 2013 and was told immediately that my parents, sibling and children should be checked.  My parents' GP to this day has not put forward my father for testing, and my mother was never tested in her lifetime, despite the fact that they both have some interesting symptoms/family history that reflect they might have coeliac disease (Dad - extreme bloating, and his Mum clearly had autoimmune issues, albeit undiagnosed as such; Mum - osteoporosis, anxiety).  I am now my father' legal guardian and suspecting my parents may have forgotten to ask their GP for a test (which is entirely possible!) I put it to his last GP that he ought to be tested.  He looked at Dad's blood results and purely because he was not anemic said he wasn't a coeliac.  Hopefully as the awareness of Coeliac Disease spreads among the general public, people will be able to advocate for themselves.  It is hard because in the UK the NHS is very stretched, but the fallout from not being diagnosed in a timely fashion will only cost the NHS more money. Interestingly, a complete aside, I met someone recently whose son was diagnosed (I think she said he was 8).  At a recent birthday party with 8 guests, 4 boys out of the 8 had received diagnosis of Coeliac Disease, which is an astounding statistic  As far as I know, though, they had all had obvious gastric symptoms leading to their NHS diagnosis.  In my own case I had  acute onset anxiety, hypnopompic hallucinations (vivid hallucinations upon waking),  odd liver function, anxiety, headaches, ulcers and low iron but it wasn't until the gastric symptoms hit me that a GP thought to do coeliac testing, and my numbers were through the roof.  As @trents says, by the grace of God I was diagnosed, and the diet has pretty much dealt with most of those symptoms.  I have much to be grateful for. @xxnonamexx, There's labeling on those Trubar gluten free high fiber protein bars that say: "Manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts, milk, soy, fish, WHEAT, sesame, and other tree nuts." You may want to avoid products made in shared facilities.   If you are trying to add more fiber to your diet to ease constipation, considering eating more leafy green vegetables and cruciferous vegetables.  Not only are these high in fiber, they also are good sources of magnesium.  Many newly diagnosed are low in magnesium and B vitamins and suffer with constipation.  Thiamine Vitamin B1 and magnesium work together.  Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine has been shown to improve intestinal health.  Thiamine and magnesium are important to gastrointestinal health and function.

Welcome to celiac.com @sha1091a! Your experience is a very common one. Celiac disease is one the most underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed medical conditions out there. The reasons are numerous. One key one is that its symptoms mimic so many other diseases. Another is ignorance on the part of the medical community with regard to the range of symptoms that celiac disease can produce. Clinicians often are only looking for classic GI symptoms and are unaware of the many other subsystems in the body that can be damaged before classic GI symptoms manifest, if ever they do. Many celiacs are of the "silent" variety and have few if any GI symptoms while all along, damage is being done to their bodies. In my case, the original symptoms were elevated liver enzymes which I endured for 13 years before I was diagnosed with celiac disease. By the grace of God my liver was not destroyed. It is common for the onset of the disease to happen 10 years before you ever get a diagnosis. Thankfully, that is slowly changing as there has developed more awareness on the part of both the medical community and the public in the past 20 years or so. Blessings!

@EndlessSummer, You said you had an allergy to trees.  People with Birch Allergy can react to green beans (in the legume family) and other vegetables, as well as some fruits.  Look into Oral Allergy Syndrome which can occur at a higher rate in Celiac Disease.   Switching to a low histamine diet for a while can give your body time to rid itself of the extra histamine the body makes with Celiac disease and histamine consumed in the diet.   Vitamin C and the eight B vitamins are needed to help the body clear histamine.   Have you been checked for nutritional deficiencies?

I found out the age of 68 that I am a celiac. When I was 16, I had my gallbladder removed when I was 24 I was put on a medication because I was told I had fibromyalgia.   going to Doctor’s over many years, not one of them thought to check me out for celiac disease. I am aware that it only started being tested by bloodwork I believe in the late 90s, but still I’m kind of confused why my gallbladder my joint pain flatulent that I complained of constantly was totally ignored. Is it not something that is taught to our medical system? It wasn’t a Doctor Who asked for the test to be done. I asked for it because of something I had read and my test came back positive. My number was quite high. Are there other people out here that had this kind of problems and they were ignored?
