Newbie-autonomic Dysfunction

Hi

I'm new and will make this as parsimonious as possible. In July 2005 I went to a GI doctor for chronic diarrhea, and dull gnawing stomach pain. He did an endoscopy, colonoscopy, and barium x ray. The results were atophic gastritis (duodenum) and possibly IBS. I've had chronic diarrhea for the last 2 years and was dx's with autonomic dysfunction (POTS...Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) in April 2006.

I've been gluten free for over three weeks and my POTS symptoms, rapid heart rate, low blood pressure, faitgue. dizzy upon standing, and severe exericise intolerance, have gotten better. Tachycardia (pulse) is lower and hypotension is higher and stable.

Can anyone with autonomic dysfunction and or symptoms shed some light on this issue and tell me your experience?

FYI: Autonomic dysfunction is neurological. I've read that celiac disease can cause neurological problems.

Thanks in advance,

Karen

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
