Resource For Updating My Kitchen Products?

So last night it dawned on me that I probably need to replace all our cutting boards, amongst other things. I'd like to do this right. Is there a list somewhere that tells me which kitchen items to get rid of and which ones to keep?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know if someone has a list compiled but here are a few basics:

Can Opener, (I put this first cause mine got me for ages :D )

Toaster

Non stick and coated pans that are scratched

Cast Iron pans (some have ones that they have been able to get clean and reseason but it is a process)

Wooden Utensils

Cutting Board

Bread Maker

Things like glass ware, ceramics and mixer should not be a problem as long as you are able to get them really clean. Forks can be stinkers, I took a real close look one day between my tines and was shocked. A nylon net scrubby can take care of that really quick.

Also if you use a dish washer make sure you clean it out real good and I also replaced my silverware drawer liner and vacuumed out all the drawers. Amazing how many crumbs can accumulate under the stuff you don't look at often.

There are most likely quite a few things I have forgotten but I know others will think of them.

I did what Raven recommends.

I kept my stand mixer but gave away the cheap handheld because I could see alot of flour in the front vents and couldn't get it out.

I am one of those who cleaned and kept cast iron pans. Put them in the oven on the cleaning cycle. When they're done they and the oven are a powdery mess and require a thorough cleaning and reseasoning but I don't have any problems and am still sensitive to CC.

I also replaced scratched metal pots and pans, bake ware and anything that is difficult to clean, like strainers, whisks, etc. I bought a new deep fryer too.

Raven really sums it up. I did away with all scratched up pots and pans. I got my own toaster. I started putting all my special food in one area.

I also did a complete organization of all our stuff. It gave me an excuse to purchase the things we had been putting off for years.

You might try Heallix.  It's a silver solution with fulvic acid. I just put the solution on with a cotton ball.  It seemed to stop the nerve pain. Again,  not in your eyes or ears.   Go to heallix.com to read more about it and decide for yourself Also,  I do think nerve and celiac combined have a lot to do with your susceptibility to shingles breaking out.

Celiac disease requires both genetic potential and a triggering stress event to activate the genes. Otherwise it remains dormant and only a potential problem. So having the genetic potential is not deterministic for celiac disease. Many more people have the genes than actually develop the disease. But if you don't have the genes, the symptoms are likely being caused by something else.

Yes, i pulled raw ancetry data and saw i have 2/3 markers for DQ2.2 but have heard from friends in genetics that this raw data can be wildly innacurate

Thanks, I’m still dealing with the pain and tingling and itching and feeling like bugs or something crawling around on my face and scalp. It’s been a miserable experience. I saw my eye doc last week, the eye itself was okay, so they didn’t do anything. I did take a 7 day course of an antiviral. I’m hoping for a turnaround soon! My life is full of stress but I have been on / off the gluten free diet for the last year , after being talked into going back on gluten to have a biopsy, that looked okay. But I do have positive antibody levels that have been responsive  to a gluten free diet. I can’t help but wonder if the last year has caused all this.

I don't think any apps are up to date, which is exactly why this happened to you. Most of the data in such apps is years old, and it doesn't get updated in real time. Ultimately there is no substitution for learning to read labels. The following two lists are very helpful for anyone who is gluten sensitive and needs to avoid gluten when shopping. It's very important to learn to read labels and understand sources of hidden gluten, and to know some general information about product labelling--for example in the USA if wheat is a possible allergen it must be declared on a product's ingredient label like this: Allergens: Wheat.
