I thought the kid who was a farmer was cute....I am glad they pushed him through. Simon liked him and the others were iffy.

The guy who came last cracked me up!

OMGosh...I had to turn the channel when Ryan was interviewing him... I just COULD NOT look at that bag'o'nails one second longer, it was actually making me physically sick, lol. I couldn't even watch his audition. Wow...

Guhlia Rising Star

OMG, I loved the farmer guy, Drew. I thought he sounded very similar to Clint Black. He was adorable too. :)

I actually kind of liked the fingernail guy. He had an interesting personality. Not too sure on his talent, but the personality was cool.

The one I thought was a little weird was the guy who came and sung Kelly Clarkson Never Again. He looked sort of goth but he carried the picture of his kids, I think his name was Kyle.\

He called it guyliner instead of eyeliner....which I thought was funny.

Guhlia Rising Star

Yeah, he was definitely eccentric. He seemed like a nice kid though.

He was weird, i dont think i would want him as my kids counselor lol. But im sure it was just the act he was trying to protray cause i dont think if was really that odd in real life people would trust him.

paula

i wondered what that they gut collected, i just seen him sing and they say why did u collect this, but never heard what he collected, i guess whatever floats ur boat lol

OMG fingernail boy <little green guy>. And what was the deal with the guy who had the key necklace? That was so weird....

the stalker guy was scary but hilarious..."IF YOU WERE AN ERASER....I'D CHALK YOU" LOL

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

The stalker was odd....if you were a bathtub I would Caulk you....

His eyes really scared me.

Even if it was staged which I think it was, I could see him being a little off in real life...

confused Community Regular

When do we start back up, is it tommorow or tonight.

I didn't fully catch the TV ad I saw yesterday, but the only thing I heard was Tuesday. It seems to me that they usually have Idol on two nights, even for auditions, but I"m not sure, lol.

Guhlia Rising Star

Tuesday and Wednesday according to the american idol website.

julie!! i can't believe u don't watch the auditions!!! they're the best part!!! (plus the finale, duh) :D :D

my favorites are carrie, kelly, and jordyn!! it's so sad, but i think idol really is losing a little steam... i mean there were some good people last season, but it really wasn't that entertaining overall :(

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I believe it is tomorrow night.

confused Community Regular

So last night that girl who thought she sounded like Mariah Carey....who was she kidding?

The guy with the big fans was a little off too....

dlp252 Apprentice

I didn't get to see any of it last night--sounds like I missed the typical stuff, lol.

Guhlia Rising Star

I really liked the last girl that performed, the one whose husband had the inked face. BTW, man was that cool! Anyway, I thought she was really talented. I really liked the little boy who had suffered from vocal paralysis too. I thought he was really sweet and could potentially make it to the top 10.

Where are all the rockers?!?!?!?!?!

blueeyedmanda Community Regular
Where are all the rockers?!?!?!?!?!

my thoughts exactly!

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

Well guys what about last night?

dlp252 Apprentice

Last night was almost painful, lol. I really did like the brother and sister team though...they had some great harmony going there...I'm glad they put them both through. They probably won't make it through to the final 12, but at least they'll get a shot.

I also thought some of the people not put through had some pretty good voices...they had pitch problems, but that probably could have been worked on. The only reason I even mention that is because it didn't seem like they found that many good ones, and I wondered why they let those go, but at the end they said they found 23 people, so I guess they found some much better voices...we just didn't get to see them all. :P

Hey Everyone!!!

American Idol has a rock chick!!!

She is from Atlanta and she is a nurse but dresses punk/goth! She was singing Janis Joplin and CCR. Her name is Amanda. All 3 judges were blown away! I am hoping for another Gina performance!

Guhlia Rising Star

I LOVED HER!!! She was awesome. I wasn't much of a Gina fan and I thought this girl was way better than Gina! That second song she did was insanely awesome! The first one sounded a little contrived.

Believe it or not, I also like that annoying little homeless boy. There was something about him...

dlp252 Apprentice

Aw sheesh, I missed the rock chick, lol!!! I actually didn't watch anything except the very first guy...the one they made turn around to sing.

I wish Dr’s would have these discussions with their patients. So frustrating but will continue to do research. Absolutely love this website. I will post any updates on my testing and results.  Thank you

Losing 12" of your small bowel is going to present challenges for you in nutritional uptake because you are losing a significant amount of nutritional absorption surface area. You will need to focus on consuming foods that are nutritionally dense and also probably look at some good supplements. If indeed you are having issues with gluten you will need to educate yourself as to how gluten is hidden in the food supply. There's more to it than just avoiding the major sources of gluten like bread and pasta. It is hidden in so many things you would never expect to find it in like canned tomato soup and soy sauce just to name a few. It can be in pills and medications.  Also, your "yellow diarrhea, constipation and bloating" though these are classic signs of a gluten disorder, could also be related to the post surgical shorter length of your small bowel causing incomplete processing/digestion of food.

Yes this information helps. I will continue to be pro active with this issues I am having. More testing to be done. Thank you so much for your response.

There are two gluten-related disorders that share many of the same symptoms but differ in nature from each other. One is known as celiac disease or "gluten intolerance". By nature, it is an autoimmune disorder, meaning the ingestion of gluten triggers the body to attack it's own tissues, specifically the lining of the small bowel. This attack causes inflammation and produces antibodies that can be detected in the blood by specific tests like the TTG-IGA test you had. Over time, if gluten is not withheld, this inflammation can cause severe damage to the lining of the small bowel and even result in nutrient deficiency related health issues since the small bowel lining is organ where all the nutrition found in our food is absorbed.  The other is NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity or just "gluten sensitivity") which we know less about and are unsure of the exact mechanism of action. It is not an autoimmune disorder and unlike celiac disease it does not damage the lining of the small bowel, though, like celiac disease, it can cause GI distress and it can also do other kinds of damage to the body. It is thought to be more common than celiac disease. Currently, we cannot test for NCGS. Celiac disease must first be ruled out to arrive at a diagnosis of NCGS. Both disorders require elimination of gluten from the diet.  Either of these disorders can find their onset at any stage of life. We know that celiac disease has a genetic component but the genes are inactive until awakened by some stress event. About 40% of the general population has the genetic potential to develop celiac disease but only about 1% develop active celiac disease. The incidence of NCGS is thought to be considerably higher. I hope this helps.

I have always eaten gluten and never stopped until my recent episode. I started more wheat products as my Dr. requested for the Tissue Transglutaminase Iga Antibody. mye result Value <1.0 Value interpretation: <15.0 Antibody not detected > or =15.0 Antibody detected I do not understand any of it. After eating all that wheat product my body exploded with all sorts of symptoms. I stop gluten ASAP. I am still in the healing process. I started having issues after my surgery.
