As someone posted in the PR section on celiac disease, the Salt Lake Tribune printed an article yesterday on celiac disease that included dining options throughout the Salt Lake valley.

sweet! we're going out for pizza this weekend! anyone know if just the SLC location of pier 49 serve the gluten-free crust? Or could I potentially find it in Provo?

Morrisun Newbie

That's what I was wondering too, I live near the Layton one.

Here is their website: Open Original Shared Link

I'm going to see if I can email them. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

From what I understand, it is only the Pier 49 in downtown SLC. The owner has a family member who was diagnosed with celiac disease (and who operates the gluten-free Against the Grain store in Taylorsville I believe. I wonder if Pier 49 could push that crust to all the franchises...CCM

Here's the response I got, thought I would share.

"Right now the only store that has gluten free pizza is Downtown SLC. We are working on getting that pizza in all of our locations. Thank You"

Thanks for that link, it is hard to find a place where you don't feel like an outcast when you ask for a gluten free menu. I am headed to Maddox now I know they have a gluten-free menu.

Thanks

Just wanted to let everyone know I just recieved an update from Pier 49.

"We have introduced Gluten free pizza in all of our restaurants. Please call the specific location to make sure they have the shells."

Yay! I'm going to call the one by my house to see if they have them.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
