Hellmans/best Foods Canola Mayo

Well, like so many other celiacs, I have a severe soy problem. I am sitting here at the table with 2 jars of Best Foods Canola mayonnaise. One label says : natural flavors (soy), the label on the other jar says natural flavors. I was estatic when soy was not listed....but am having second thoughts. Soy is a killer for me. Guess I'll go back to the $7.65 bottle of Spectrum Canola mayo....quite good, I might add. I've learned to make some cooked home made mayo and add it to the Spectrum mayo......almost 2 for the price of 1.

I just found this the other day about canola oil. I had known for a long time that it isn't healthy, but this says it is highly toxic.

You may want to make your own mayo, or find some that isn't made with canola oil.

A quick google search revealed this site, which addresses the concerns raised in the site above.

As with everything on the internet, take with an enormous shaker of salt. :)

Back to the mayo question, I was SO disappointed when they added soy to the Best Foods mayo. (If we could tolerate soy, wouldn't we just buy regular mayo???) Spectrum tastes only so-so to me, but I recently discovered that Whole Foods' 365 brand mayo is canola based, soy-free, and tastes like the real thing. I'm so happy to have yummy mayo back in my life!

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
