I am looking for a wild rice stuffing for Thanksgiving, one to put in the the turkey. Something kind of fruity, this will be my first time making anything like this so any help is very appreciated. Thank you so so much.

Here are 2 I found-haven't tried but got good reviews (obviously sub gluten-free bread on the 1st one, 2nd one is gluten-free...)

Thanks!

I'm going to try the Wild Rice with Pearl Onions and Dried Cherries and Apricots. It sounds wonderful.

Mom's glutteny stuffing recipe calls for lots of peeled chopped apples and diced onions sauteed in butter. (She does this the night before to get it out of the way). Then the day of, she mixes 1-2 sticks butter and lots of chicken stock over the pre seasoned bagged bread crubes (pepperidge farms). She adds the apple/onion mix and tosses with salt/pepper/extra sage. She adds more broth until the bread cubes are very moist, but not soggy. They retain their shape, but are soft. Some goes in the bird, and the rest in a big pan to bake in the oven. She uncovers it before it is finished so the tips of the bread cubes toast a little. This is the BEST! A little sweet and savory at the same time. There is no recipe. We've tried writing it down, but it is not the same. Even though this has gluten, I posted it so that someone could adapt it for a gluten-free recipe.

I've gone gluten-free/DF/EF, so I've been searching for a way to adapt it for myself and my cornish game hen. Your wild rice idea is PERFECT. I will steam 3/4c wild rice in broth. Then add 1/2 an apple and maybe 1/3 of a medium onion to saute in lots of soy butter. I'll mix it all together with the seasoning's that mom reads off the back of the Sage Pepperidge Farm's package. I'll add extra salt and pepper and sage and stuff my baby birdie. The wild rice should give the right texture and it should taste close enough to mom's. Hmmm. Maybe I'll make a double recipe and let the family have a taste. Thanks for helping me think this through. I hope it helps you or someone else too. :P

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
