I just have a question for all you experienced people. :D

A brief history: I did a 7 week gluten challenge, had negative biopsy and the physician said she ran a celiac panel that was negative for the markers of celiac. However, she recommended I go gluten free for 6 months and at that time reconnect and have a deliberate exposure to gluten to see if there is a response.

I have been gluten free since Sept 29 and had one accidental exposure a couple weeks ago that led to sharp stomach pains and a migraine.

The real question for me is this, today I went out to a deli for the first time. It is a local russian/northern european one. I had a ukranian sausage and their saurkraut. Not long afterward I had a lot of burping gas (similar to when I used to eat gluten) and then later hives that started around my mouth and moved across my face up to my ears. I also had a kinda foggy head deal going on and stuffy sinuses. I have been taking benadryl to help w/ the symptoms - but am confused about what allergen could have caused this.

I do not have any other officially noted food allergies. I know foods have made me not feel well in the past at times, but never established exactly what they could be.

I did email the deli and ask for an ingredient list just to be thorough. Thanks for reading and helping me out.

Did you get the ingredient list? The only thing I can think of is that the foods you mention

are high in amines.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
