Is it normal to not feel well after the biopsy. I had mine done on Wednesday and I'm still not feeling well today. I have tenderness in my belly, sore in my lower back and I'm just not feeling energetic like I used to <_<

thanks

Rachael

The anethesia might have been difficult for you. If the doctors did not tell you about any difficulties during the proceedure, a normal biopsy should not make you sore. Perhaps a slight sore throat.

Although, anytime your have an invasive proceedure there are risks that I'm sure you sign some paper work indicating the possibilities.

I hope you feel better soon and get some rest over the weekend. But, it you have any bleeding or severe cramping, call your doctor.

The anesthesia was difficult, I was so nauseous and throwing up. I guess I just need to rest.

thanks

I had a severe gut ache the day of my biopsy, but no blood or vomiting etc. The next day I felt better but later had the worst occular migraine in my 20 or more year history of migraines. The visual was so bad and caused a partial black out in my eye. I was so scared I called a nurse friend. She came and monitored my blood pressure and pulse for awhile. I think it was a reaction to the drugs. We are in a weakened state of health, it does not take much to upset the "apple cart".

Hi Rachel:

No, it is not normal to still feel bad so long after your endoscopy. I think you should call your doctor right away and describe your symptoms. I was never even unconscious during my endoscopy or colonoscopy, I was eating 1 hour later, and was exercising later that day in the early evening. I was back at work less than 24 hours later. You should not feel tenderness in your belly from an endoscopy so please call your doctor. I am sure you signed a release - find that piece of paper because it always provides directions about what to do if something very strange like this occurs. Good luck - I hope everything is okay! Let us know what happened.

Did you go gluten free after the endosopy? If so thats why you are feeling yucky. It takes a while for you body to adjust.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
