One Test Negative, One Positive, Do I Have Celiac?

I was tested for Celiac and the test for gluten sensitivty was negative, the test, Endomysial ab IGA serum was positive.

My doctor, (general medicine), told me I might have a mild case of Celiac. Can anyone explain the test results better to me. Thanks in advance

I am often confused when doctors say "mild". What they should say, is that it was caught before major damage could accure.

Right. You either have it or you dont:

Patients with a positive IgA Endomysial Ab or IgA TTG Ab should undergo small bowel bx. Bx should be obtained from 2nd and 3rd portion of the duodenum.

I found that online. You should see about a biopsy. But even if the biopsy is NEG, you cannot assume you dont have it. Ask for a GENETIC test too to cover all of your bases.

I agree with the others. This is nothing to fool around with. You need a doctor that knows more about this (hard to find). If I were you, I would have the "Endescope with Biopsy" since the serum was positive.

Mine came back negative but the gene test afterwards showed the "gluten sensitive" genes. I have gluten "ataxia" (many neurological problems) and Lower colon problems I do not have full blown Celiacs so I had not progressed to the point of upper intestinal problems yet, but it explained every other health problem that I have. If you have Celiac or Sensitivity, it can lead to many auto-immune diseases. Start Educating yourself on this. This is a really good site to start with. Good Luck, Take care.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
