Are Quakes Mini Crisps Apple Cinnamon Gluten Free?

I had these last night because the label only listed "Soy" not Wheat as an ingredient. Nothing looked suspicious to me. This morning when I woke up my belly is huge and preggo looking again ;(

I am sure the constipation is to follow as is the normal pattern for a glutening with me. It will be like 4/5 days of this belly and constipation if it is gluten related. I am JUST getting over a hem flare up because of constipation from my last glutening.

I really must get better at label reading and checking foods. I am always on the go with working full time, school full time, and being a single mom of two kids who are in multiple extra-curriculars. Sometimes I feel I have no choice but to get glutened. I am this terribly picky girl who doesn't like anything, and lots of raw fruits or veggies make me extremely itchy ;( Makes eating on the go difficult when you don't have alot of time to cook. I am literally gone from 7 Am until 8 PM most days, and then have to get kids ready for next day. I need ultra convienience food that is safe and will not keep getting me sick. And I can't keep eating gluten free cookies and pretzels just because its quick. I need some real nutrition ;( bread always has to be toasted so I cant even pack myself a sandwich for soccer/softball/football games and practices. I do not do salads, any raw fruits or veggies, and do not drink fruit juices. So where does that leave me??? ;( ;( Sick!

I always eat grilled chicken and either rice or potatoes and a steamed veggie of some sort. That is my staple. Occasionally I will have some Tinkyada pasta instead of rice or potatoe, but will still have grilled chicken and a veggie steamed. This combo works very well so I do not get sick, but it is very difficult to take somewhere like a child's ball practice when there isn't a microwave there.

We don't ever buy Quaker products--CC issue is pretty high. Feel better!!

I agree with previous poster. The CC risk is high, in additon if there is barley malt used in 'natural flavorings it does not need to be disclosed.

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
