does anyone have a good receipe that actually tastes like a real graham cracker out here in glutenfree land?????Or some place to buy a real tasting graham cracker???

nothing to do with graham crackers but another junk food (comfort)also is a real glazed donut.......any sugestions on that one also. most of the gluten-free ones are more like a cake donut...

thanks , I,m planning a trip for 2 months to alaska and would like to take some goodies with me, as I've heard there are not many places to buy gluten free....

Mamaw, I've not tried donuts but have made graham crackers from Carol Fenster's book. I've tried many flours and flour blends and find the sorghum blend comes closest to the real thing.

I was tired of watching the grandkids eat s'mores and wanted to join in the fun. These were also good as a snack with peanut butter. They kept for 3 or 4 weeks, beyond that, I would freeze them. You might try vacuum sealing them in a container for a longer shelf life.

If you're looking for a Krispy Kreme type GR doughnut, they don't exist as far as I know.

I've never tried them, but Kinnikinick makes donuts that seem to be the most popular.

The Kinnikinnick donuts are very dense and cakelike donuts (but have a good taste).

I agree with Richard about the kind of fluffy, light glazed donut that you want, they don't exist! Maybe one of us should come up with a recipe. We could make a small fortune selling them to all the Celiacs/gluten sensitive people out there! :D

www.outsidethebreadbox.com has graham crackers and they are great. I use them for s'mores and crusts for cheesecakes and they are good for both.

Health Valley Rice Bran crackers are gluten-free and taste like real graham crackers! In my store they are with the regular crackers with all the other Health Valley (non gluten-free) products.

      Thank you for the welcome and reply. The first test was tissue transglutaminase IGA and it was normal. The second test just simply says IGA and it was 638. You definitely answered my question, it sounds like im negative for celiac since the 1st test was normal, and that another condition has caused the abnormal result of the IGA.       Welcome to the forum, @daniellelawson2011! First, we need to deal with terminology here. When you refer to the "ttg" test I take that to mean the ttg-iga. And when you refer to the "iga" test I take that to mean total iga since the magnitude of the score would suggest that. Total iga is not a test for celiac disease per se.       Thankyou so much for your reply I decided to skip the senna has I've already had very loose stools last few days I've cut my portions down on the low fiber diet too and drinking lots of liquid has I just thought it would be wise to listen to myself too I've probably already done wat the senna would of done myself naturally by drinking clear apple juice which...

That's exactly what I was wondering. Im almost positive I have MS and I've read results are higher like that with early onset. Or it could be IBS. Hopefully the visit with the neurologist will give me even more answers and point to a final diagnosis. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply and for helping. Thank you so much!

It is run in order to check for iga deficiency. If you are iga deficient, then the ttg-iga and other iga tests that are specific for celiac disease will be abnormally low and this would potentially produce false negatives. You are not iga deficient but, rather, your total iga is abnormally high. This can suggest underlying health conditions, some of them can be serious in nature.  ...
