I had lunch yesterday at Amazon. It's a Brazilian Churascarria, with grilled meats carried around by Gauchos. Delicious and all the meats except for the sausage are gluten free. They had gluten-free Yucca bread. Almost everything on the buffet was gluten free as well. It's on Lemon St. just north of the 91 freeway. 24 hours later, and I am still fine :D

OMG, thank you so much for this! Amazon's one of my favorite restaurants, and I was sure I couldn't eat there anymore. I thought the meats had some kind of marinade.

It's probably too much to hope that the cheese puffs are gluten free, though. =(

This is your lucky day because the cheese puffs ARE gluten free :D:D It's made wity yucca flour. I grilled them on every ingredient. All the meats, except there was some question on the sausage. Most are just marinated in gluten-free spices and olive oil. Have fun!

I am so going there next weekend. Thank you soooo much!!!!!

What are the other gluten free items on the buffet? I usually only grab a couple of things, like the baked mussels...

      Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

      What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
